Is that heated seats switches each side in the second picture ? First time I see that

Dealer installed heated seats and they are really toasty. Dealer couldn't locate a mango tango with cold weather so they gave me these at cost. Better than nothing but really wish I had cold weather package.

Btw thanks Hudson for the write up you made my install go really smooth. You saved my butt with the fuse locations.

Great Post and Information

Here is where I mounted my brake controller. It is to the left of the knee airbag container so if the airbag deploys it should push the controller toward the door and not at my head. I ran the pigtail up behind the kick panel and out through the hole where the hood release handle is.

And as you can see, there is sufficient room to enter and exit the vehicle without hitting the controller. I was in and out a couple of times with no problems.

Well I was wondering how I was going to hook up my E-brake controller -P2 prodigy. So, hats off to CDNTrailhawk & Hudson Hawk and everyone else on this post, you all helped me out big time. Mounted mine in the same area as above. I was looking at other areas and figured if I had to screw into the plastic, this cubby tray can easily be replaced for a OEM one, if I needed too. Anyway, It worked out great. Found the plug, I bought the pigtail, switched the wires, routed , and plugged in and everything was perfect. Without this post it would have been a challenge, so thank you very much.

Towed Safely:

I called my local Jeep dealership two weeks ago and asked them to install a brake controller. I'm scheduled to pick my new travel trailer up out of state next week. They told me to go to an RV center to have it installed. I made the appointment with the RV center, but had to wait over a week for the appt. I dropped the Jeep off and went to pick it up today and they couldn't wire it. They called the dealership and now the dealership is claiming that it can only be done with certified Jeep parts and that they have to set something in the computer. Getting the part may take two weeks! The parts man wanted to give me a list of a couple of Jeep dealerships that carried the part and call them to see if they would install it. Most of them are two hours away from my location. A salesman is going to call for me tomorrow after I told them that I had called over two weeks ago and they basically refused to install a brake controller. Advice/thoughts please!!!

so unless you do not have the tow package the cable for the brake controller is around 15 dollars and the install method that Hudson has documented would take 15 to 30 minutes tops. My method is about 90 minutes. If you do not have the tow package then yes parts will need to be ordered. Without tow I do not believe the controller pre-wire has been installed and so programming will need to take place. If you do have the tow package you can buy the cable that is needed and bring it into a truck accessory shop to get the controller installed

It has the tow package with a V-6 (limited).

Then it is an easy install you can do in your driveway. The imformation necassary to do it correctly is in this thread. Please feel free to ask questions if you do not understand. There is also a pdf file you can print and take to the rv place if you would rather have them do it.

Hitch install

Just had my local dealership install the Mopar hitch and wiring harness. After the install I asked them where I hook up the brake controller. The Tech opened the small cubby on the right side the the truck and showed me a small wire with the label brake controller on it. These lazy bastards didn't run the harness to the front as per the instructions. Now they want to charge me for a controller install. They are nuts. Calling Chrysler on Monday.

Does anyone have the integrated brake controller from Mopar? I thought I saw a picture if it tucked into where the compartment is under the left dash. Is that correct?
