Sorry, can't say for sure that the throttle body will fit. Best bet is to check out the TB part numbers for both a Grand Cherokee and Cherokee and see if they're the same. If so, will fit. If not, probably won't. We know the 3.2 and 3.6 engine are basically the same (with a different bore and stroke) but the air intake/manifold is external to the engine and thus can be completely different. Since the TB is part of the intake manifold, it's very possible it's different. Confirming the same part numbers is the only way to be sure.
Okay thanks mate. Appreciate all your help.

I believe 5281803AA is the PUG lower part number. Make sure you get new upper and lower gaskets. I know tyler had an aftermarket throttle body that was for the 3.6. The stock throttle body is the same part number as all of the 3.6 engines.

I put the PUG on my 3.2, I would guess the lower would fit also. MMX makes some nice products.
Hi mate, I just received what I'm hoping is the PUG . Now that I've got it I'm starting to doubt that it's the right one. The ports have the "lump" down the length of the port. Is that right??

Not certain, but this might be some use?:

I believe the "PUG" comes on minivans with the 3.6L. This is a common mod the Challenger guys do, for some reason. It's you car, mod away but I really can't see performance mods on a 6 cylinder station wagon. I think my TH looks nice and sporty and all but, I'd rather figure out how to add the power liftgate, Homelink Garage door opener and rear seats that slide my Limited did so I can haul my father, his wheelchair and my wife to the Casino and maybe a cool lightbar across the top for those annoying people who drive 10 miles below the speed limit.

Have fun with your garage door and light bar... Flop.

I've never seen an optional performance manifold intake anywhere though of course that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Just to confirm, you mean the lower thermoplastic air intake manifold right under the upper air intake (and goes over top of the oil cooler assembly) and not a cold air intake (that replaces the box/filter/rubber flex tube that brings air into the throttle body).
Yep, that's the one. They call it the PUG. WILL IT FIT THE 3.2?

Thanks. I went to their website and it says it's for the 3.6 (GC, Charger, etc.). Many parts are interchangeable between the 3.2 and 3.6, not sure anyone has tried this with the lower intake to make 100% sure the screw holes line up and most importantly, that there's absolutely no dimensional change in the head/block that could cause there to be any type of gap between the bottom of the intake, the gaskets and the head surface.

Larger question in my mind would be... why do it? The air volume into the engine is fixed by the size of the intake on the head. Short of forced air injection (adding a turbo), how is this part supposed to get more air into the engine? The only advantage I could see is if this is made of some better plastic (e.g. we all know how well the "go with plastic" turned out with the oil coolers) but I don't hear too much about lower intake manifolds getting brittle or similarly leaking air over time.

Thoughts? Am I missing something?
Why do it?..... Cos I want to. Why do most people have a problem with this?? Laugh, make fun or just plain hate. Who cares? Is it keeping people awake at night what I'm doing to my car in Australia?? I want my car to perform better and I'm asking legit questions. Anyway thanks to all the people who helped me out with everything ive asked.. much appreciated 👍

Nope. Never will be. You're right. But for functionality reasons, wether be off roading or pulling a trailer/camper, a little extra ugga duggas will never hurt. Especially if you're already in there changing the oil cooler. may as well upgrade 🤷
CORRECT. I love modding car's. ANY car. I do it cos I love it. And no one really does this to kl's. AND.... They look so much better lowered. For a heavy car they handle beautiful. Anyway, rear custom sway bar today. YESSS!

WOW, people including me have told you the 3.2 and the 3.6 are identical size , except for the internal bore and stroke, and the PUG fits both engines, here is a link below It should open at post #19 from Tyler who installed the PUG years ago on his 3.2
Read it .

Did somebody say built Mopar???😁😎

Though extremely fun, and exorbitantly expensive, not entirely necessary...😉😎

They just don't make em like they used to!!! 😁😎

Pentastar upgrade forum link
This goes right to the page for the KL and all the parts that fit the 3.2 , just like they fit the 3.6.
INCLUDING THE PUG.
No more beating a dead horse

2014-2022 Cherokee
🤣🤣🤣.. yeah yeah. I just get excited some times and go over stuff ive already been over. Hey, thanks again aye. ☺

I'll need to look at this further when I'm on my laptop. Since it's about time for an oil cooler and plugs, anyway, could do some pointless modding 🤣

Hello. I've managed to get myself a titan motorsports street intake inlet manifold and want some impartial advice from you fine folk. Currently tuned using a hks fcon gold with a single turbo setup but have recently bought a link g4+ ecu to fit later in the year. In the meantime before changing out the ecu and going for mapping, I'd like to fit the new inlet manifold and tidy all the vacuum hoses up. My question is, will the new manifold throw my tune out or will it be ok until I get a chance to do the rest later?

Hey @yowad ,

Outside my area of expertise. Are you saying you outfitted your n/a Cherokee with a turbo? if so, can you post a photo? (y)
