Your argument is correct if you add the spacers to the springs. I was commenting on the poster who claimed to have added spacers to the shocks, which will not lift anything.. As I said earlier, pictures would be a big help in figuring out why someone got no lift when adding spacers.
Sorry, I wasn't paying attention when I posted. I thought you were the other person LOL.

No problem, I thought that might be the case.

I really hope the other poster comes back with pictures. It will help to clear things up with his lack of lift when he added spacers.

I am looking to get 275/60/17 on my TH will they fit?

Probably not. Anything wider than 265 gets pretty close to the strut

I thought I have seen a member on here that had 265 setups.

If 265 is too big then what is my next options?

I want to get the largest tires i can fit without rubbing or cutting.

245/70r17 fits but rubs the fender liner in the front during turns. I'm fairly certain anything bigger will need trimming.

Your two choices are either 265 65 17 or 245 70 17

With your setup do you rub?
Depends on your definition of rub... I cannot hear anything while driving, but if you look at the plastic there is a shiny spot... no issues while wheeling with rub either... and I have tried

I am lifted, however from what I understand the lift doesn't help in this case as it is the width that rubs, not the height. When you are at full lock it brushes just a little... hence the shiny spot. This doesn't change one way or the other when lifting it.

Or for that matter, it shouldn't rub any more or less whether you are lifted or not.

I think some are getting caught up in the 265 part of a tire size as if that tells the whole story. Using a universal guide for tire sizing isn't accurate either.

The Duratrac 265/65-17 is 30.6in diameter. It should fit without rubbing.

My BFG M/T 265/70-17 are 31.7in diameter and definitely will not fit without triming

I suggest looking at the actual specs on the tire you are choosing rather than universal tire sizing websites. The manufacturing specs are the best place for accurate info.

I have the 2016 75th Anniversary Edition that came stock with 18 inch rims. I kept the rims and put 255/55 18 BFG KO2s on her. No rub before the lift (which I am hoping to get installed tomorrow).

I see that only the 17 inch rims have been listed in the posted chart. Thought I would provide real life 18 inch info for you as well.

255/55 18 is only 29in diameter which is half inch smaller than a stock Trailhawk tyre so should have no probs at all with or without a lift. My only concern would have been the inside egde of the tyre on suspension components due to the tyre width on the lesser offset rims (Trailhawk rims sit further out)

Largest Tire Size That Will Fit In The Spare Well

I'm not sure if this is the correct location for this question. Since my TH already has a Factory 1" lift, I don't plan on lifting it anymore for consideration of my back, pertaining to getting in and out. P245/65R17 are the Factory size tires. I have read on the forum that P265/65R17s will fit with no rubbing issues, but one will not fit in the spare tire well. Thus, P255/65R17s should fit, but will one of these fit inside the spare tire well? Thanks in advance for reading.
