Hi, does the 2015 jeep cherokee climate control (non-dual) works with this cc3 2k unit and do all known features work? I've seen an ad saying don't buy it if you have this type of HVAC, but I'm not sure if it's already compatible with the last upgrades, thanks in advance.
On the T'EYES website for Cherokee KL it says for the HVAC you have:

Now the question is whether "see the temp" just means the number or everything (all the HVAC controls like louver positions, blower speed etc.)

I would think that it would. I emailed a pic of mine to T’Eyes just to make sure. They got back to me fairly quickly.
Hey Steve, this is good news. Can you share exactly what they (T'EYES) said? Their website still says they don't support the single automatic climate control so it would be good to confirm it's officially supported now. Thx

I sent a pic of my setup, which is all manual controls. Just saying, I would send a pic to them. They may have a solution.

I’ve had my unit for almost a year. Love it. Im trying to wire a sub into it, but don’t see any plugs of the back labeled as a sub woofer output. Anyone have any guidance?
Hi @Mvanmol , Do you have a CC3 or CC2? The CC3 has an RCA harness that plugs into connector "L". It has RCA outputs (for going to an external amp) and subwoofer out. You can use that to go to your subwoofer. I have a RockPort Ghost v2 spare tire subwoofer that can use this output [RCA] or I can tap into the rear speaker lines.

Mine is fine, no issues at all. I'm just expanding it with things the stock uConnect 8.4 couldn't support (e.g. 1080p back-up cam, 2nd front-facing camera, etc.)

And my unit actually is one of the newer ones, the CC3 2K. I got it about 4 months ago right after they introduced it. The fan is internal to the case and yes, I can disable the microphone in software and use an external mic (no need to remove the built-in mic). You probably know this but you can buy a 2K screen for your original CC3 to bring it to 2K resolution if you want. I can attest it's super sharp but, after having it, I have to say that for a car, it's overkill. In the end, have I every watched a 2K movie or wanted to see YouTube in 2K in my car?? No. Also, at 2K the fonts are smaller so for older eyes like mine, it's harder to read small text by default (I increased the font size to compensate but again, I wouldn't say the 2K is make-or-break feature. The original screen is already so nice it's a huge improvement on the stock uConnect or any 3rd party ones that have smaller 7/8/9" screens).
Yeah I don't have any need or desire for such a his res screen in my car to be honest, I think the one I have currently is more than good enough. Just very frustrating that the ability to disable the mic is available on the newer model but not the old one that probably came out not long after I bought mine. I pretty much stopped connecting my phone to the bluetooth in my car because everyone complains about the mic quality. Seems crazy to be not be able to add a software option to turn this one off but the new one can /shrug

I hear you. There are some videos however on how to remove the mike element (probably de-solder or cut the leads). If they've released a video, it's probably straight-forward. If you ever have spare time perhaps consider it. Then you could use an external mic and place it where you want for best pick-up.

Just a thought...

Was going to ask the same question.

Thanks for the link. I will ask Dan about it.

I have both cams from Teyes. The rear has much better image quality than the factory, especially at night. Looks like 1080p for sure. Very happy I put the work into the installation. Use the wiring set from Teyes. Stock electrical will not work. I ran the wires from inside the hatch, up the rubber conduit into the vehicle and then to the front.
I used this mount; Backup Camera Bracket

The dash cam is USB. Teyes insists you have to use their camera, although I've seen many on Ebay that I think might work. Like this one: Dash Camera Specs seem to be the same except Teyes says their sensor is Sony.........
The app to access and record video is the "DVR". Basically, plug and play. I would not mount it on the exterior however, it is not made to be exposed to weather etc.
Did you get the 6.8mm harness or the 10mm harness?

Has anyone replaced the stock backup camera with a 1080p camera? If so please explain the process. Thx in advance.
I think some folks have added an external 1080p camera and run new wires to their head unit (on AliExpress, there's a Cherokee license plate lamp that has an integral camera holder molded into the plastic bezel).

I purchased a 1080p AHD camera which I'm going to try later this month to actually mount into my existing Cherokee camera spot to see if the existing wiring can be used (I have the schematic showing the pin-outs to the wiring. All the necessary wires are there, it's a matter of tapping into the master harness at the back of the radio. When replacing the head unit with, for example, the T'EYES CC3 2k (which is a high res, 2k screen), the stock CVBS camera (with its 420 lines of resolution) doesn't take advantage of the high resolution screen.

Hello, does anybody know how to fix these issues? my CarPlay screen is huge compared to what I have seen online and I am not sure how to readjust the size. Also, none of my icons populate after clicking the menu icon (circled below) to show all the apps, the screen goes black and back to the main screen.

Edit: figured it out.

How is the sound quality of hands free calling on this unit? I've read the older 1080 CC3 had internal mic issues and the quality of sound was bad (muffled sounding) for the person on the other end of the call. I watched a review of a person who compared the previous generation CC3 to the 2K and they said the newer one was better. But i'd like to hear reviews from more people here.

I have the 2k. The audio quality with the built-in mic is good. After installing it I called friends and asked about the quality and all said they could hear me no problem.

I did later plug in a cheap $3 AliExpress external mic and like with any external mic, it was even better.

So in summary, yes, there were reports of the older CC3 not having the best mic pickup. The 2k (which I have) seems to have solved that. But like with most systems, an external mic is best (same as with the stock Cherokee uConnect, the microphone is in the rear view mirror)

I use my while driving, I make Zoom calls to Brazil to talk with my family, using the Bluetooth connection which connects the mic and speakers of the CC3 unit, my daughter says that the sound quality is "fair", she can hear me with no difficults, but the voice quality is similar to a phone call, nothing alarming, enough though.

Yes, so the CC3 model you have is the earlier one with the microphone that's soldered on the circuit board I think. There's a video I saw showing how to disable it if you ever decide to go with an external microphone.
