To reset the oil change indicator on your Jeep, there are a couple of methods. The easiest way is to turn the ignition to the 'on' position without starting the engine. Then, using the EVIC (Electronic Vehicle Information Center) on your instrument panel, scroll to the 'Oil Life' indicator. It should display a message prompting you to press 'OK' to reset. Press the 'OK' button to complete the reset. Alternatively, for some models, you can reset the indicator by turning the key to the 'on' position (engine off), and fully press the gas pedal three times within 10 seconds, then turn the key off.

This is easier.
Without holding the brake cycle ignition to ON engine should not start. Scroll through EVIC to Oil life indicator. It should read press OK to reset. Press OK and you are done. Another thread covered this shortcut.
