The liftgate opens about 6 inches then immediately closes, has anyone experience having this issue?

If your automatic liftgate opens only a few inches and then closes, here are a few potential causes and solutions to investigate: * **Obstruction/Proximity:** Ensure you are not standing too close to the liftgate when it opens, as some systems may detect this as an obstruction. * **Fuse:** Try pulling fuse #50 for about 30 seconds to reset the liftgate system. * **Struts/Power Module:** Weak struts or a failing power liftgate module might not provide enough power to fully lift the gate. This can cause the system to detect a stall and reverse. Consider inspecting or replacing the struts. * **Battery:** A weak battery may not supply enough current to the liftgate motor. Test by starting the car and then trying to open the liftgate. * **Calibration:** Try disconnecting the battery for about 20 minutes with the liftgate fully open to reset the system. * **Recall:** Check if there is a recall for the power liftgate control module shield (R27).

Mines manual, and it will hold itself open at 15"
It will will actually open at 30" when the struts
are in a position to lift the hatch. HTH

Its auto.I tried changing the battery of the keys but still having the issue

Wish it did. I tried to open from far away from inside and at the back. each time still opening about 6 inches then closes.
