I got their 2.5" lift kit for the Grand Cherokee WK2. It is an absolute piece of crap. The lift is a basic leveling kit so no surprises there. However now the axles are at a weird angle and make loud vibrations around 45 and 60 mph. The stock axles and axle boots could not handle the 2.5" lift and the axle boots tore. I had my stock axles taken to a axle specialty shop, had the axles refinished and an aftermarket CV boot put on that is more durable and will not tear as a result of the new angle. The noise from the stock CV axles after having the Rocky Road 2.5" lift it installed is enough to make the lift a waste of money. When I first had the spacer lift installed the grand cherokee fit 33" tires with minimal rubbing. After driving the vehicle around for a week, the lift began to sag. I can only guess that the stock struts are not strong enough to support the jeep being lifted that high and they are now compressed an extra inch or two, especially in the front and front right side. The jeep now rubs to the point where the tire is now beginning to tear the trim and front bumper off the Jeep and the vehicle is underivable.
I had a mechanic call a Rocky Road technician and ask him about the issues with the CV axles and the tech support guy said that my vehicle must have aftermarket struts or it would not be an issue. He told the mechanic that this was the only thing that could be wrong and then wrote off the issues with the lift kit without any second thoughts. Well, my Grand Cherokee was completely stock with no aftermarket parts until I added the Rocky Road lift kit. It drove perfectly and never had any issues until we installed the Rocky Road lift kit as well. According to Rocky Road, my Grand Cherokee shouldn't have the issues it is having but the reality is, it does, and as a direct result of installing their lift kit. I have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo (without air suspension) and I've taken my vehicle to 3 mechanics now and my Jeep is still un-drivable.
I recommend that you DO NOT purchase this lift kit for your Grand Cherokee WK2. It cost me money to install, twice that much so far to diagnose the improper lift and have new axle boots installed, and surely it will cost even more to have the lift kit removed.
