Could be something as simple as the tires. How many miles on them? Have you been rotating them on a regular basis? You could always rotate the tires to see if the sound moves to the rear of the vehicle.

But most likely it is a wheel bearing. They can start humming pretty loud once they go bad.

 

or a drive shaft & or support bearing. both times I needed a shaft, I thought it was a wheel bearing

 

Agreed, I've also had a drive shaft go bad with the same symptom. Hopefully that isn't the OP's problem though, as that is a pricey repair.

 

Tires rotate and balance each oil change, which was about 1,000 miles ago. Having dealer check nose as it is happening each time over 45 mph.

Are you sure it is not you quietly "humming" to yourself at the joy of driving your jeep? 😁 Sorry...it's early and I couldn't help myself. Hope it is a minor issue.

 

Umm, the only Overland in 2014 was a Grand Cherokee.. KL version was 2016 up I believe.
