How do the cloth seats hold up?

Not sure if this is better here or in the detaining section. I've had leather on my last bunch of cars. How does the cloth hold up with long term use? Is it worth putting some type of fabric protectant on it or is there already one? What's the best way to clean them? It doesn't seem like you can wipe them off in the say way you could with leather.

Our TH has the cloth/leather seats and they have stood up nicely. Of course, we've only had the car for 8,000 miles, but we had our '08 Mitsu Outlander for 8 years and 80,000 miles and they were as good as new when we sold the car. The TH upholstery is much better quality than the Outlander's, so I don't worry about cloth seats. Too, I've owned British cars with leather seats and US cars with naugahyde, and they always felt sticky in warm weather.

You'll find the cloth in your Latitude will hold up very well with only minimal care. You can put scotchguard spray protectant on if you'd like to add some degree of protection. Just keep the seats clean and wipe off any spills and they will be fine for many years to come.

The fabric used on the Cherokee's seats seems to be holding up well for me after 10K miles. There are a few creases, but any car will develop those over time.

I have the cloth seats. No wear and tear to the cloth material at all.

I'm curious to know how other folks sit in them. I just can't find the "right spot".

Where do you find the best seating position?

If I sit toward the back if the seat bottom, the sides of the seat seem to try and "push" me out.

If I sit toward the center of the seat, I am much more comfortable however I "sink" in a lot and don't have thigh support.

Do you try to have your back thighs resting on the sides side bubbles? Or on the stitches? Or inside the stitches?

My 2003 XJ had much better seating because it was simple. I'm new to this style of low back bucket seat... How do you choose to sit?
