I just had a shop install the kit on my kl and the front is raised by 2.25 and the rear is raised .25 over factory🤔 I'd love to know what the shop did wrong. I'm not getting much info from them. You guys have any theories?
What lift are you running???🤔

I have yet to see a positive experience from this setup. You should have come here first, and read the hundred or so threads on here about the goods, the bads, and the uglies of lifting a Cherokee. I would have tried to talk you out of that one. A good old fashioned 2" spacer lift, or if you want really good on the rear, Gleaming Alloy Stilettos. Also, NEVER EXCEED two inches on the front, or the rear, and proper installation is the key to drama free...😳🫤😉😁

I have a family member that has the exact same TH (except color) and he put spacers on his and hasn't had any problems with it. The lift on mine in the front is fine, I'm just trying ro figure out why I got no lift in the rear with that kit. The n3 struts and springs are supposed to have lifted the rear by at least 1.5" and hasn't. Is there something the installer could have missed in the install to keep the shock and spring from extending all the way? If that's the case then the constant pressure will be causing excess stress to other components. Talking to the mechanic that did the install, they said there's nothing they can do, so I'm kinda on my own to figure this thing out. I may just have to except the fact that I'll have to go to another mechanic to get a second opinion. Frustrating as hell!!

Didn’t k ow rough country did rear lift like Dobinson with springs only no rear spacer.
maybe wrong springs

Yea, the kit is supposed to lift and level front 2 inches and rear about 1.5 to level the whole thing. My mechanic has no clue why there's no lift in the rear and said there's nothing he can do to fix it.
I agree with @Flechtight about the springs. Inconsistent spring rates are the common issue with this particular kit. You could always drop some 1" spacers under the rear springs...🤔😁😉

True, if the springs ride at that height they ride at that height, “if” it was the shock holding it down they would have noticed trying to install it, Looks like a call to Rough Country may be in order

I seem to remember someone had wrong springs shipped but thought maybe it was dobbinson, though rough country probably

I'm in the process (as we speak) of checking things out, including the springs and possibly getting a replacement kit shipped. Id rather not go the spacer route, as ive seen photos of how spacers cause your springs to bow outward. Photos are on the stilettos web page. Doesnt look so good. Plus i needed to get my shocks and struts rellaced anyway. Thought it was the perfect time to gwt a little lifted😂 end result pending....

The Teraflex rear spacers won't do that, as they're tapered. My MFC 2" lift that I've been running successfully for 5yrs now doesn't bow them very much at all. When I lifted mine, MFC and Hazard Sky were the only game in town. If I were doing it today, I would go with the Teraflex 2" spacer kit and a set of Bilstein B6 struts and shocks if I was on a budget, or Stilettos and their 2" front strut collars, and of course, Bilstein B6 struts and shocks...😁😉

Hey @nickalotapuss69961
What tire size do you plan to go with when you get the lift squared away??? I run 245/70/17's...No cutting, trimming, or grinding required. Perfect and reliable setup for any Trailhawk as far as I'm concerned. Also, I'd recommend the upper reinforcement strut collars up top, to replace the plastic ones. That's the weakest point of the entire suspension...Good luck, and keep us posted...😁😉

That reminds me, I've been meaning to ask on the forum, are bilstien B6's compatible with the MFC 2" lift? I was about to pull the trigger on that a few months back, but my mechanic talked me out of it saying the strut diameter on the B6's might not mate properly with the spacer lift. He wasn't sure, and neither am I now.

Yes, because the B6 is meant to fit into the knuckle and the spacers are “designed” to go around said diameter.

seem most lifts here end up on B6 unless your odd like me and have Dobbinson

Ya, what @Flechtight said...If the diameter was bigger, how would they fit in the knuckles??? There's numerous people running the Bilsteins around here. I will be too sooner than later when my OEM's finally give up the ghost. You might look for a different mechanic...🤔😁😉

I'm not going to increase tire size just yet. I'll have to see if I'll need the RWCK from mfc or the whole stiletto setup. Also positive camber has me worried with the 3 point suspension. I'd rather not dump a bunch of money into nice tires then find out their getting feathered on the inner tread lug. I really hope people read this and other threads to see how much is actually involved in just a 2 inch lift on these trailhawks! I pulled the trigger before aiming, now I'm finding out the hard way. Live and learn I guess. I'll keep ya informed of the progress flybynightcru. Thanks man!
