Confused over what engine mounts my cherokee needs

I need to replace the rear engine mounts on my 2019 2.4 FWD Cherokee Latitude, but I am a bit confused about which are the right parts for my vehicle.

I see two versions of the rear engine mounts.

I have attached an image of the parts available at MoparPartsOnSale.com, which lists 3 components

(1) Engine Mount Bracket 68353710AC
(5) Engine Mount Bracket 68454919AB
(7) - I have not found the part number for this part yet

While other sites like Rock Auto and eBay have the parts listed in the second image as rear engine mount for my car.

Can someone guide me to the right parts for my vehicle?

Thanks

Hi Hector,

I'm sure someone with a 2.4 will respond shortly. I think the mount in the original picture (from the Mopar parts site you mentioned) is for a 2.0 Turbo Cherokee engine, not the 2.4. The Shock Mount Rear looks like the mount from the 3.2 V6 engine and the Mount Rear Lower I'm not 100% sure.

One option is to go to RockAuto.com and look at the different engine mounts there. They are pretty good about making sure they label which parts are for which sub-model vehicle and engine.

Let's see if others on this Forum with the 2.4 can shed some light.

Well, I did some research, and it seems that Jeep changed the design of the rear lower engine mount from 2019 onward.

I looked under my car, and indeed, it uses the new design with a metal bracket between two anchor points, just like in this image:

Parts 1 and 2 are around $50 each from Jeep. I don't see why I would need to replace the middle metal frame, since I don't see any rubber on it that could have some wear.

I can't find the part number for the part labeled "7". Even Jeep salesmen online had no idea.

I anyone has changed the engine mount on the 2019+ Cherokees, I would appreciate your help.

Hi Hector,

And to confirm, you see part #7 on your Jeep, correct? And you absolutely have the 2.4l MultiAir Tigershark engine, correct? (not the 4cyl Turbo Hurricane engine)

I agree, I wouldn't change the bracket #5 if just metal. And actually, if the bushing on #1 is still good, I might not bother with that one either (although if the part is cheap I might do it since I'm working underneath there anyway but probably only if it looks like the bushing is taking on wear).

The bushing in part #7 is almost certainly the failure point. This type of bushing is common in CDJR vehicle. (my son has a 2012 Chrysler 200 with the Pentastar 3.6 engine and the front lower mount is very similar and the rubber has already come loose from the metal.

Yes, I have the 2.4l MultiAir Tigershark engine.

Well, it seems that I found the "missing" support, it seems that it IS part of the front suspension cross-member (68292230AI)

I found an image on ebay, and definitively, the rubber mount is part of the frame

Why would Jeep make a part that is so prone to wear part of the whole subframe?

Ugh, NO WAY! Now I recall, yes, they changed the subframe from the original cast aluminum to steel and redesigned it but making the mount part of the subframe??? Are you certain there's not a couple bolts on the underside holding the mount extension piece to the subframe? It would be crazy that someone needs to remove the subframe (which has the whole steering rack, sway bar etc. bolted to it and it a major job to remove) JUST to press out and change a mount bushing which as you correctly noted, will almost always need to be replaced during the life of a car as it's a wear part.
