What's holding you back?
Coz i'm using android headunit aftermarket and android auto working ok only with USB. But if I need to use the fast charging, i have to unplug it which then turn off the android auto. This is why i think it will be nice to have a normal android version which can run directly in the headunit and for those who dont have android auto can also just run it on their phone 😀

What's holding you back?
It doesn't work on a regular Android. I had tested is on my T'EYES CC3 Android head unit. See conversation starting at Post #35 between me and @mariuslt, the developer regarding regular Android/Android Auto.

@mariuslt hasn't been on this forum since November 2024. Maybe he got tired of turning his hobby experiment into a free product. I know I sure pressured him a lot on getting features, and I appreciate all of his time to make this available to us.

In any case, thanks for all of the work you put in! Hope to see you back on the forum sometime!

I'd pay for the android auto version  need to market past this forum to get your proper dues :)

Does this work for pre-2019's?

I see Gary in here, but he could not get it to work?

I would potentially be interested in a version that works with standard Android, on a 2018 KL...

I don't have a (suitable) OBD reader yet, but I do have a small Samsung tablet that would work nicely as a secondary display, or an older phone or two... Just need to find somewhere to mount it.

I do have an MSD Dashhawk from my Mazda 6 MPS... but it does not want to talk to my Jeep. Probably because it's last update was a few years before the first KL appeared.

Cheers.

Issue I had is that I could not get the TEYES to find my OBD2 adapter (either vLinker MC+ or OBDLink MX+) so even if I were to get @mariuslt's software to work on a bare android tablet, I have no way for the tablet to connect to the OBD2 port. I'm not sure if this is a limitation on just my TEYES or all android tablets. I use my phone for AlfaOBD to see the same information so having it on the android tablet (TEYES) isn't critical for me. I heard it might be possible using a USB OBD2 adapter with the TEYES but need to confirm that.

Oh no, what happened?? 😢
In short, I guess as always in our days, new stakeholders and new rules in the company. I wasnt happy with that and also others with my opinion.
Anyway, 1.1.8 version available with screens and for normal android devices. This is just to test if app will work and with 2014-2018 jeeps. So atm user interface is a bit off. App itself doesnt have any new features, just updated google libraries etc. (Note for android auto users, dont run both apps at the same time)

I missed this notification somehow...

I should have an OBD dongle here soon (dropped enough birthday present hints :p) but for now I have installed on a spare phone... Oppo Find X3 Pro, Android 14. Have a couple of older Samsung tablets to test also.

It does not do terribly much without a connection, but at first glance the UI elements seem a little oversized... A 'Full-screen' mode would probably be nice...

Will give more feedback once I can make it talk to my Jeep :)

Thanks!
