Hi
@behelf ,
Welcome to the Forum! In doing a
Search, you probably noticed there were several posts where I mentioned if anyone had a 2.4 with a faulty AGS to try AlfaOBD to set them to 'Absent' to see if the Cherokee's PCM would accept it (rationale being that since 2014 Cherokee's with the 2.4 didn't come with AGS, there must be a way to have them non-present in the configuration). I have a 3.2 engine (2014) so no way to test it myself.
To the best of my knowledge, no one responded yet that they tried it before your post above so you may be the first and as you're saying, it doesn't seem to appear to work. So if I understand correctly, you tried initially, ran into some issue but eventually the configuration accepted it but it still doesn't actually work in operation, correct?
When you view your current configuration (under "Body Computer" where it lists all the currently set values), do you see AGS set to "Absent"? It's possible that it just doesn't work (e.g. there is more required to 'delete' the AGS that AlfaOBD cannot do).
Question... if you set the AGS to 'Absent' (as it sounds like you currently have), and you unplug the AGS (or pull the fuse), are you getting the U11E9 code still?
