Hello everyone hope you all had a great holiday season. I got a light bar for Christmas for my Jeep but have run into a mounting problem now. Was going to use the license plate bracket to do it but that’s a no go. So figured I’d remove it and use the already made hole’s but they don’t line up. Plus I’m now wondering if them holes would even support the weight of the mount and light. So if anyone can help me with this issue I’d appreciate it. I’ve included a pic of the setup I’m using.

side note, fwiw, saw the 2025 bronco sport sasquatch has mounting points on the front bumper & 5 prewired switches in the headliner. hey stelantis, are you listening?!
stelantis don’t care about anything but profit unfortunately. Would be nice if they did listen to what the customer wanted. From an article I read said Jeep brand is in a bind. They have over produced and priced everything they are not selling like they use to. Plus all the trouble with the engine and transmission’s They need to get it together!!!

Don’t. It won’t support the weight. I made my own bracket and had send cut send manufacture and powder coat it. I then drilled straight through the steel bumper beam and used stainless bolts to hold it.
I thought of using something longer to bolt it or a threaded rivet like we use at work sometimes on the trucks we build. I was worried about sensors behind the bumper. I watched a video on how to remove the front bumper and it looked like there was some things right behind it that could prevent that. My Jeep didn’t have a factory mount on the front bumper when I bought it the lot added this cheap aftermarket mount from autozone or someplace.

Isn't that every company? No profits no company. The only thing you can do is research the company and go from there. I've own several Jeeps and knew what I was getting into. Sorry for those that didn't have the far sight to see that Jeep has never been that great. The joy of a capitalist country. But I do hear you, listen to your customers. At the same time Toyota and Honda (all manufactures lately) have been having engine and tranny problems. If its man made it will fail, some sooner then later.
I agree everyone is going to have trouble at some point with their product. The article was just saying that was the key problem with Jeep and their unwillingness to address the issues that have arose. Plus the base price of some of there lines starting at $50k for a basic model!!! I’ve had a few jeeps myself and my kid has 3 currently “ older models” so we get it.

any luck?

No haven’t messed with it due to the sub arctic temp and ice/ snow we got. I have looked at a few ways to Mount it. This spring I’ll get it done I have a huge list of things to do and trying to make my way through it. Lol no aim trying to figure out how to reupholster the grey areas on my seat’s with this plaid material I found. I can work on the Jeep when it gets warmer because I can get my mustang back out of storage and park the Jeep to work on it while I drive the Stang.
