I just bought a 2019 Jeep Cherokee with the 3.2L engine. I was wondering what the "Normal" temperature operating range is? I can't find anything in the manual that tells the proper temperature range. I live in Kentucky.. it was about 85 degrees outside today, so not to hot outside. Seems like 213 deg. is to hot from what I'm use to in other vehicles. I first thought the engine was to hot when I first drove the Cherokee home. I was looking it over under the hood and grabbed the cap to look where the oil filter goes and it dang near burned my hand when I turned the access cap.
This may be a normal temperature? Gauge shows it's in the proper range... just seems hot to me.

Sounds normal. My 2017 (and 2014 before that) can run 175-212, with the high end in traffic. But even in the worst bumper-to-bumper NYC traffic in the recent 95 degree days with the A/C blasting it did not go above 212-213. Never had an overheat issue, or even a suggestion of one, even with towing. Your gauge is accurate. Relax.
