Yes, the cam position sensors on both sides of the 3.2L engine are the same and can be interchanged. Swapping them is a common diagnostic method. However, if you're getting CPS codes, it might indicate a different underlying issue like an oil pressure problem, phaser issue, rocker/hydraulic lifter issue, cam lobe wear, or a faulty injector (especially if accompanied by misfire codes). When working with cam position sensors, be cautious around the magnetic wheels on the ends of the camshafts, but no special precautions are needed for the sensors themselves.
