how do I reset the TPMS system. It is showing the tires in the wrong position and saying there is a problem with the system. Our local Jeep is ridiculous.$170.00 to just evaluate and they want it for a day or more.

Option 1
  1. Inflate your tires to the proper pressure (Warning will not disappear if pressure is lower than the recommendation).
  2. Drive above 15mph/24km for 20 minutes within the city to reset your system.
Option 2
  1. Switch the ignition to the ON position without starting the vehicle.
  2. Press gas all the way to the floor 3x’s within 10 secs.
  3. Switch OFF ignition. After 10 secs start the engine.
Older Grand Cherokees
  1. Switch the ignition to the ON position without starting the vehicle.
  2. Press and hold the RESET button for 10 seconds.
You have successfully reset the TPMS on the Jeep Cherokee.

I think on most Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Ram vehicles, this resets the oil life/oil change computer.

Not sure the info came from HiRide.. But yeah that's how I used to reset the oil on the old Patriot.

My son's 2012 Compass did something similar when we swapped out his
tires for the WildPeaks. All but one sensor was working, then after about
3 days of driving it went back to normal. He only works about 10 mins.
away, so I'm thinking he didn't drive it long enough?
