2014 Jeep Cherokee Fueling Issue

I am having trouble getting fuel since the nozzle clicks off. I have been told I need a new fuel tank, but someone said there is a bulletin on this and a quiet recall. My mechanic told me it will cost close to $1,500 for a new tank. I called the dealer and was told I have no warranty.

Sorry to hear... Not sure about a recall for this and have not seen a TSB either (but my memory can fail, heh). This is a situation with early 2014 builds.

We had a member on here with a taxi fleet of Cherokees and was a hands-on guy with manteinance and repairs. He got a few 2014s with this problem and had a troubleshooting checklist. I suggest you have your mechanic check it out. It could be the fuel tank, but it could be simpler. Here it is :
