I have plans on getting wireless charging but don't want to jump in right now until the other wireless standards come to market. Jeep uses Qi which needs a mat with no obstructions, but one is coming that charges through obstructions, so think a charging pad under the passenger seat for example, toss your phone on the seat and it charges.

FYI, when they say obstructions, they are talking small things like a magazine, not a seat. You are talking about Rezence I assume.

There are two more coming, Rez has small obstructions like a newspaper/magazine but the other standard would be put into furniture and other scenarios.

Mine came with the wireless charger but I haven't gotten a compatible case/sleeve for my iphone to use it. Plus I mount my phone on the dash anyway so I can see it since Uconnect is good but not great.

I may eventually look into removing it for the extra storage.

Has anyone had any luck removing the wireless charging pad? Mine came with this but I don't really want/need it, and would rather have the storage space back. Any help would be great!
