Synthetic not required for 3.2. Anyways i was in the same predicament as you once my "free" ones were up. If you're in the states, look for a coupon on the Mopar website that's been going for over a year now, two semi synthetic oil changes with tire rotation for 79.99. Works out to $40 ea and I can't buy oil and filter for that price plus don't have to get dirty. Check it out...

I bought this for the 2018 (2.4L) and they covered it
with full synthetic! After that I found out that all Cherokees
sold this year come with Jeep Wave. 2 oil/tire for 2018 Lat+
and 4 for the TH.. I now have 3 remaining on the 2018. 1
from Jeep Wave, 2 from Road Ready...

Also, Bellingham are you signed up on the Mopar web site?
If so see if you are in the Jeep Wave program! If not, call
the dealer and ask what's up with that?

2019 trailhawks and overland include 2 years of Jeep wave. Not all cherokees.

According to my dealer, all Cherokees and Wranglers.
TH/Overland 4 oil/tire, Latitudes(+) and less 2 oil/tire.
Not sure on the Limited, but I would imagine 4 as well.

It didn't show up until she got her oil changed using Jeep
Wave on the Lat+..

According to the people on Bob:

Oil goes bad in use
Oil goes bad (more slowly) in atmosphere
Oil does not change in a sealed bottle.

People have used oil sitting for 10 years, and as long as it meets
the right specifications, and is "sealed" the oil analysis comes
back fine. If you ask an AMSOIL rep, they will tell you oil goes
bad in 5 years. If I sold oil, I'd say 3k, or 6 months!!!! LOL
