Hi. I am about to take delivery of a 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk. To protect the new vehicle, I am looking at both the traditional WeatherTech FloorLiner, and the newer WeatherTech FloorLiner HP. And trying to understand better the differences between them.

I understand that the new HPs are a bit softer and more flexible, and about $15 more expensive than the traditional FloorLiners. I had the traditional WeatherTech FloorLiners in my previous Jeep, so I'm very familiar with those ones.

Any thoughts about pros and cons, or likes and dislikes, of the new FloorLiner HPs vs the traditional ones is appreciated :)

including a 22 trailhawk (Idk what trailhawks are ultimately but I know they have cosmetic changes)
Basic interior floor plan on any KL, 2014-2022 are all the same. Some minor cosmetic, and or accessory differences is all...😎

Thanks AuroraGirl and Flybynightcru. I've just placed an order for the FloorLiner HP liners in Cocoa. My thoughts are that the WeatherTech's high walls are value-add to protect the Cherokee in the slushy Ontario winters. Going for the HP vs the traditional is for me an experiment. So I ordered just the front seat liners for now.

So we'll see how it works when both the Cherokee and the FloorLiners arrive in the coming days 😃.

I highly recommend the WT cargo liner too. Fits perfectly. Also, if you've ever had your window cracked, and took off when there's some water on the roof and gotten the waterfall in your lap, their side window deflectors are a nice addition as well. I just have them on the front windows, and they snap right into the channel. Not taped like others are...😎

The Jeep mats that came with my TH are close enough to Weatherguard for me. They're fairly high quality. I just need the cargo liner. I'm surprised my optioned out TH didn't come with anything for the cargo compartment. I don't know how much shipping would be but Weatherguard is pretty proud of that one cargo mat at $115

we got one when we learned how impossible it was to remove dog hair and frankly anything from the surface over the spare on the rear there.. and with dog and groceries this and that, figured it was nice to have it to be able to chuck it out if it was dirty or needed a new clean surface
then dog pooped on it a couple times after getting mat, making it earn its stay lol

The OEM all-weather mats came with our 2018 as part of the Cold Weather Package, and they are fine. I've always been a "mats guy" rather than a "floor liner guy." I don't want to feel as though I'm driving a delivery truck, with my feet in buckets of plastic.

Nothing wrong with the Weathertech cargo liner. However, I ordered custom-cut cargo mats for both Cherokees from Lloyd Mats for two reasons: many more color options (I was able to order a pink one for my wife, although pink no longer seems to be an option), and a perfectly flat edge, instead of a raised, tray-like lip. I find that it's easier to slide things into the cargo compartment with the seats down if there's no barrier along the edge of the cargo mat.

the only reason we got the rear seat liner and the rear cargo liner was dog hair LOL. The carpet on both the areas had an insane amount of holdinbg strength on hair and our small dog would create HOURS of cleaning for the hair on top of dirt , windows, surfaces.
We got expensive seat covers that themselves change the cling dynamics of her hair and keep the wear down on the seats

Then I learned the ozone machine, leaf blower, Hart shop vac "roller" attachment, and cleaning is now much faster

Ozone machine seems to help stuff release if you do a quick shock treatment
The roller actually does dirt on thecovers/seats and even the carpeted for the hairr really well!
Then I just shop vac and hose to get it all.

Then the leaf blower allows you to remove haiir and dirt on a wide scale and get hair off door panels. with the proper doors open and aiming the hair can be wisked away off everything quick

If buying Weathertech, get the HP line, for sure. For the money, I went with Husky. Got a set of front/rear for less than $100 on Amazon.
I've had the WeatherTech FloorLiner HP in the front of the Cherokee for nine months now. Very happy with them. They have protected the interior through an Ontario winter of salt and snow. My only trouble is that the tiny holes at the retention clasps make it difficult to remove the liner to empty melted snow and salt. But I guess that's the compromise for a tight seal. On my last Jeep I had the Husky Liners. I went for WeatherTech this time just to be different.

I also went for the Cargo/Trunk Liner. I was finding the carpet accumulating dirt quickly, and followed AuroraGirl and Flybynightcru's experience. So far it's been great.
