Has anyone experienced a similar issue on their ride? Not sure where I could turn to either get the repair completed or simply buy the materials to do the repair myself. Appreciate the feedback. This is on a 2019 Cherokee

I don't ever recall seeing this. Certainly shouldn't happen on a 2019. My 2014 is fine.
I generally get paint touched up by the guy that fixes used cars. They are less expensive than regular body shops and do really good work since the buyer of a used car isn't supposed to be able to notice the repair.
I know that is a 'brushed' paint so touchup paint might not work. Might have to buy a new part.
Are there any other rusted seams? Search this Forum, there are other places where seam putty is not there and getting rusty.
Show it to your Jeep dealer, maybe there is an applicable TSB for the problem. They won't volunteer the information, you have to ask.
Possibly contact @JeepCares on this Forum and see if they can help.

Thanks for the reply. will check the other forum to see if there are any other such issues, and may just drop in by the body shop to see what they can do. No rust or any other damage, just noticed it out of the blue one day....

Yup, I just bought a 2019 Jeep Cherokee limited and this was happening. It looks like it was claimed by the previous owner to get fixed, and they either decided not to because it would have to be out of pocket
or it was too much of a hassle. The dealership told me that I'd have to replace the trim.
