hey guys, I have known about Uwharrie forever but have never been myself. I live in Winston Salem so not terribly far from there. my daughter and I would like to take her TH and my Tacoma out there sometime to do some wheeling. but since we are both new to that sort of thing, wondering if you guys can give us some insight on whats doable with a stock TH or Tacoma 4wd? I don't want to do anything with rocks that could damage the vehicles, but don't mind getting them muddy. I asked this same question over on a Tacoma site and those guys either are hard core wheelers and think I should pass or tell me just to go for it. what do you guys think? is it even worth the trip for us?

we also are out at Windrock quite a bit since our daughter races mountain bikes, I know they have some easy/green gravel road/dirt trails. would that be a better place to go?

We took a group of 14 Cherokees out there to Uwharrie and had a blast. We only did one or two trails, no damage that I recall. It is mostly rocky, so be careful and watch your lines, but if you do that you'll be fine!

We took an AD1 and a FWD on the trails with us. Need a good spotter; lift isn't a bad idea!

Stock TH, except tires, have done Dutch John, no issues, back side of Daniel, only minor damage but easy fix.

being new to off roading I was told (another forum) to stay away from the Trails that the names start with "D". just wondering what all is out there. I need to ride out one day and maybe do some walking around. with them being closed for the season, can the trails still be hiked? just curious.
