I've seen enough posts on this forum to confirm that the Uconnect units without Navigation (like mine) do NOT have any cellular capabilities, therefore they will never receive an over the air update.

Meanwhile, on my 2019 the Uconnect web site says my Uconnect software is up to date, so in 4+ years there has never been an update released for it.
Yup No wifi. LOL Although I did get an update for Android Auto . Jumped in the TH and when AA came on the screen was laid out a little different . Cool

But that Android Auto update took place on your phone, nothing to do with the Uconnect software.

I had heard that the latest Android Auto update changed the display layout, but I've held off on the update because people have been reporting issues with it. Apparently your not one of them?

Your absolutely right . The one thing I don't like about the new layout is it made it a bit harder to change songs. Using the buttons on the back of the steering wheel you can only advance through the songs not change them. So to change songs now I need to select my music app on the screen then hit the next button then switch back to Waze or Google Maps. It's just an extra button press that can be a distraction while driving because you have to look away from the road for a second. It's minor . The new layout on the Jeeps screen isn't bad to look at and everything seems to be working great so far.

Does the verbal 'Ok Google' command still work? People have been reporting that it no longer works on this new version.

Hmm I haven't tested that since Christmas. I'll have to test that in the am if I remember. That surprised me when it didn't work at Christmas. It worked at Thanksgiving time.
