Anyone ever encounter this or have an explanation?
Bought a 2014 Cherokee from a dealer in late June. They told me the car had previously been ordered and they were awaiting delivery.
1. On 7/15, they ran a request for a status report. The last few items were: staged for shipment 7/7;
adv ship notice to dest ramp in bay at facility 7/7 (Toledo Nitro Yard);
current ramp compare inventory 7/7;
future vehicle delivered to dealer 7/23 (at the time 7/23 was a future date).

2. Yesterday on 7/21, I asked the dealer to check if everything was proceeding on schedule and if I should expect the car to arrive at dealer 7/23. They ran a status check, and the report was exactly the same as the 7/15 report EXCEPT that staged for shipment 7/7 is now listed under current; everything after staged for shipment is missing; and there is NO future vehicle delivered to dealer entry or date.

Dealer says he is bugging Jeep to find out where my car is but no answer yet.
Something about this seems very not right, and my 2014 Jeep is getting more last year's model by the day.

Anyone ever see anything like this/have an explanation?

I ordered mine several months ago. The dealer told me it arrived in town 3 weeks ago and it's still on the rail car.... Something seems odd. The dealer has also told me that they're calling every day, but they get no response. I'm hoping to get an even better deal than first offered, as I'm also aware that the vehicle will be last year's model very soon.

Here is what happened with my situation described above. Dealer persisted in saying they could not locate the 2014 I had bought anywhere -- a mystery to them. I suggested that they look immediately for a car with same option combination OR consider ordering me a 2015 at same advantageous price I was getting on the 2014. Initially they quoted me a high price on a 2015, but after they still could not find a comparable car and still could not find my 2014, they gave me a great price on a 2015, which I am now waiting for. Even after I had signed all the papers on the 2015 and they had cancelled my contract for the 2014, they persisted in saying they had no diea what had happened to the 2014. They might be telling the truth OR perhaps they or Jeep gave my car to someone who was more important. Either way, I consider what happened to me to be best for me and am happy to be getting a 2015 at what I consider to be a great price.

It's getting rescheduled. Happened twice to me. My original Mango order is actually still in transit. My salesman found another one in the system, but the strangest part is that it was sitting in another dealership for twenty days before we found it. Chryslers system is not very good.

My advice is the same. Sit and relax. It's worth the wait.

Am not waiting on the 2014 anymore. Dealer and I agreed to cancel that order, and I have now ordered a 2015.
