That was top of the line in its day.

I had to stop using my old Escort detector because of all of the newer cars with their radar sensors for braking, etc. setting it off constantly.

And yeah, I know the newer detectors have been modified somehow to accommodate for that. Haven't tried any of them though.

Do you still have the cigarette lighter plug in. Mine is not 100% anymore.
I still use my Valentine One, works great, especially on laser.

I hate the look of the Gen2. If i recall there is a way to block troubled frequencies that are always setting them off. Even back in the day my Laser warning would go off when ever i passed a QT (a convenience store/gas) due to their red signage was in the light wave of laser.

That's probably not going to help you much nowadays, that unit is like comparing a Razr Moto flip phone, to an iPhone 12...Radar technology has come a long ways since that unit was king!!! Most of the frequencies used then are now completely obsolete.

Actually where i live still should be good. Local PD and hIPO use Ka and X and laser. We have not invested in lidar yet. One easy way to test this out is i will ask my PD friend to use his most common band and see what happens.
