I would assume some of the overall clearance at curb weight has to do with the weight of the vehicle. The 1" suspension lift on a TH or ADII 4x4 probably doesn't ultimately lead to 1" ground clearance increase due to overall weight of the vehicle. Bottom line - all the 4x4s have decent clearance, with the TH probably having the most actual and useful clearance, though the ADII equipped Latitudes and Limiteds come close.Per the jeep website:
All FWD are listed at 5.7"
4x4 are listed at 7.9" for the Sport (ADI) and 8.2" for the Latitude/Limited (ADI or ADII?)
Trailhawk is 8.8"
I dont know what they are listing there as far as ADI or ADII, the Sport only comes in ADI so that makes me think 7.9" is for all ADI...but the extra .3" for the other two isnt close to the 1" the off road suspension is supposed to give...so not sure if that 8.2" is ADII or not, but it would make sense that it is ADII since its .6" shorter than the TH...hmm
To be honest, having never considered getting a 4x2, I'm shocked that there's a 2.5-3 inch clearance difference between that and the 4x4/TH.
