I just dropped my TH bumper and a 2" x 6" receiver off at the hitch fab shop. They said it would be $100 and ready Monday.
Can't wait! I'm driving naked till then.

I would gladly take the oem replacement, but sadly, it is not available for the TH :(

Thought someone had found and purchased one. Maybe it was on jeepgarage.

Nice. I plan to order the TH rear hitch + tow configuration for my limited eventually. Waiting to see how the jeepgarage one goes.

Did you order different facia and trim to match the TH OEM look and factory trailer plugs?

the facia and trim on the TH is the same, just pull out the insert with Cherokee in it

Is the wiring easy to do too?
there are after market trailer harnesses that are pretty much plug and play
I'll look for that next and post what I find

I just picked up my bumper with the 2" receiver installed by the fab shop. I could not be more pleased, and bonus was they only charged me $75. Can't wait to git-er-done!
They even painted it!

Looks good, especially for $75. You do the removal/reinstall yourself?

Looks great and a very good price. Good looking welds too. My only concern would be how much do you plan on towing and how much weight? The factory tow package gives you more then the hitch and wiring. Heavy duty engine cooling and a 3.517 final drive ratio. Brochure also says trailer sway damping but I haven't determined what that means yet.

The heavy duty engine cooling is part of the TH package anyway. The sway control is part of the esc system. The only thing missing is the lower gear ratio.

Gator- I'd sell my soul for you to hit me up with some details on how you did this. I've been fighting for weeks with the same issue you had. I NEED this...
I just took off the bumper, marked the center and top, took it to a trailer hitch shop, asked if they could cut a square hole in the bumper on both sides and weld in a 2" receiver, and showed them a few pics of a mopar hitch and a few pics I took at the dealership. They said no problem, an hours work.
No magic, just action.

The only thing I have different from the factory is the rear end ratio, which I am not to concerned about. I mostly use it for a bike rack or light trailer.
