This uconnect replacement for real?

Anyone try this product out? Seems too good to be true… it says it retains all factory controls and steering wheel controls.

Anyone hear or try this before?

Other places have been selling those for a couple years now. I am interested in getting one in my Infiniti, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Buy one and let us know how it works! :)

So is it bunk, or do these things work? I'm guessing the price scared everyone away,
since I could take that money and buy another gaming laptop to run VDJ. I was thinking
you could rig up an ipad for much cheaper, have every single app at hand, and boom!
Your maps have never looked better.... Keep the Uconnect for Jeep stuff, as the Dorrito
they use as a chip can barely handle that load. lol Then have the iPad setup for your
theater room in the Jeep! Hook it up to ABDII, and watch your engine get warm, and
the position of your cam shaft.

If I win the lotto, I'll be the guinea pig.... :ROFLMAO:
Niftycity is another place which has been selling these, but I'm sure it's the same exact unit as the one the OP linked to.

I've found very little info online from people who have actually installed these things and the ones I did find were not that positive. One common complaint was how they did not get the same level of sound output from the speakers as the stock unit. Most likely the unit as an anemic amp in it. One person also mentioned difficulty returning the unit.

So I'm with you, unless I win the lottery I won't be buying one. :)
