Hi everyone!

I currently own a 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited w/sunroof & towing package that has 166,000 miles on it. I've loved this car! But at it's age (9years in March), and mileage, I've put quite a bit in repairs in it over the last year, and it's time for a new car.

I had my new car narrowed down to 3 options:
(we are very "outdoorsy" people living right next to Great Smoky Mtns NP, and with tons of rivers...hiking, kayaking, SUP'ing, camping, etc.)

1. Subaru Outback-nice little vehicle, but still feels too low for me, and too long...but still nice. My #3 choice after test driving.

2. Chevy Equinox - really liked this car, pretty on par with the Cherokee as far as features, fun to drive even the 4cyl., but still not as nice as the Cherokee (and after having a "wheel and deal" salesman try to sell me a car that had nothing I wanted...tow package/sunroof/color...other than trim level, I walked right on out of there.

3. Jeep Cherokee - love at first mile of driving (and it was 30 degrees...that heated stearing wheel won my heart). But I had to go to a second dealer because the first was low balling my trade in (way under KBB fair value), and giving me crap about the USAA discount even though they are a USAA affilliate. After 9 hours of test drives and dealership sales people, I finally had to order mine because what I want didn't exist within 400 miles.

So the wait begins!!! I'm beyond excited and thrilled!!!

MSRP was $32,275
I got it for below invoice at $31,130 then add in $500 rebate...so $30,630 (so $1,645 off MSRP). Not the best savings, but I'll take it. They are giving me a decent deal on my trade in too.

Congrats, and welcome to JCC. It will be worth the wait
G'day and welcome to the forums, and congrats on your new 'Kee!!!! Lots of great info and tips here :)

Cheers
So after 2 days, I realized that patience is not my best virtue. The thought of 8 weeks was killin' me. So I decided to look at all the options, since my exact vehicle didn't exist.

So to make a long story short, I went from a Limited to a Latitude w/Cold Weather Package, w/Convenience Package, (+ the sunroof and tow package I had before). So basically I'm giving up the leather seats and the tires are a bit different (which I'm fine with). Only one problem, it is located 8 hours from me.... No worries, road trip on Wednesday to pick her up!

The dealer there gave me a better deal too. So excited to have my new Jeep by the end of this upcoming week!!
