I have the leather/cloth combo without seat warmers or power controls. I found a complete leather swap with warmers and power from a wreck. Price is not incredible, but cant put a price on keeping the wife happy on a chilly morning or night.

I just read a DIY from a fellow member upgrading his base model to leather and running power to the leads for the seat controls. Where can I find a similar wiring diagram to get power to the heating elements? Would the ECU (dash screen) recognize the warmers upon install and become available from the controls tab on the screen or would it require a flash from the dealership?

Same wreck has the TH tow package, wiring harness/plug, and fascia for $250 so I might jump on that as well.

Cheers.

From my understanding from reading posts where other members are trying to add different features, since the heated seats are controlled by the Uconnect system, you would have to get the dealer to add it to your vehicles build sheet and reflash the system. Or something like that.

I tried this on my 2014 Journey Crossroad. I was told that it can not be done. There is a Local Katzkin Installer here in town. I just purchased the Katzkin Seat Heaters and he installed them under my Leather Covers. He put a small three-way rocker switch on the side of the seat base. Simple. The Seat Heater pads can also be ordered off of Katzkins web site.

If you do get the whole seats, you could wire the seats like my installer did. Put the switches on the seat or console, where they should be! Not on the stupid screen. What dumb ass thought that this would be a good idea? Don't text and drive? How about don't turn your seat heaters off/on and drive?

If its just the warmth you're after, they do sell heated seat covers. A lot less money, too!

Good luck!
this, 100x. you're going to spend a ton of money to install heated seats that won't work. just call an automotive upfit company, they should be able to install leather and heated seats for around $1k, or just heated seats for probably half that.

Thanks
