I have a new TH ordered with a hood decal, but I'm interested in getting a different color decal. Has anyone seen or heard of where I might one?

Any decent vinyl or sign shop like Signs Now (no affiliation or recommendation) can duplicate your hood decal in any color or printed design (Trail Carver Topo?) that you want.


If you do it make sure that whoever does it uses the best 3m or Avery product that they have. If you have a custom printed decal make sure it is coated with a clear vinyl, this will help with UV resistance.

Yeah, there is a guy selling black 3M (non mopar) versions for like $70 on ebay. So it should be similar to that Id imagine.

I've been contemplating putting a red pin striping around the decal to match the tow hooks. Need to get into a shop to get a quote. Just haven't had the time yet.

If you want an aftermarket decal, you might wanna see if you can cancel the one on your current order and save the money.... And post pics!

Had a detail shop put twin red stripes around hood decal. Looks great. Pictures soon. Now just need to decide where to put some red on the tail gate area

I tried ordering the Trailhawk without the decal, and they told me their system wouldn't allow it.

Since the decal is an option, they should not be forcing you to buy it. I ordered one on mine but plan to change it with a different color this spring. I want to wait till the cold weather ends.

i put a red stripe around the hood decal myself, was alot easier than i thought it would be. few other decal mods coming up when i get the time. want to replace the red stripe with a shaped vinyl decal. there's pics in my profile of it

I'm calling absolute BS on the dealer with that comment, it's a 150 buck option, the TH come standard without it!!

I'd head to your dealer, providing you don't want it and get him to remove it,

Makes me wonder if he just said that as he has a unit in transit he's offloading to you

I would have to respectfully disagree with you on that. Please note on my signature, I ordered this thing even before the vehicles were released to the dealers. Mine was special order, and I do believe there may have been a glitch when they ordered. Or maybe at the time they didn't give that option as a true "option". They always show the TH with the decal, so maybe their order system was updated since.

My dealer really didn't want to jeopardize a sale for $150. In fact, they offered to get the vehicle, remove the decal, and not charge me the $150. However, I didn't know what that would do to the paint, i didn't worry about it.

It is totally an option that you can decline. Agree though that 150 is no big deal in the grand scheme of things. A dealer will probably absorb that cost if you really want.

Mine came without the decal. I didn't special order it, in fact I was there to buy a Limited and this TH just came in the day before. Well, I had to have it. You know how that goes! I hope the decals weather well. After seeing some of the old Firebird emblems I worry about large decals.

I got my TH without a decal.... not by my own choice.... So I will most likely buy a black one on ebay and add the red pinstripe, will post pics afterwards

I have contemplated what I wanna do, 2 months ago, I wanted the hood decal, now I am leaning towards something different as well......

How about the "Screaming Chicken" from the old Trans Am (Smokey and the Bandit)? That would differentiate yours for sure.

Yours can then be called the "Chicken Hawk"

I while back I saw someone had a black one on ebay but the details said you can get it in any color vinyl that they had.
@zzjdzz, I can see an electric blue decal on your true blue. lol



The SEMA Trail Carver had the Topo decal on the hood and then the entire roof between the roof rails as well.
