I'm interested in the RDM skidplate they make...😎Has anybody installed these? There are a couple videos on YouTube. Allegedly, they provide a true 2" lift, increased strength over aluminum control arms and corrects spring geometry from being curved when using Hazard Sky or MFC lift. But the wierd thing is they are only available for the rear....

Built solid, best install instructions of anything anywhere, he did a great job.
I’m on the order books for the next batch of skid plates.
Hyper hero has adjustable camber links for the rear as well, I’ll wait to see what happens to my rear camber after the control arm replacement
Hyper hero is testing out adjustable trailing arms and hopefully have them out by mid summer?
I’m currently not running any collars on my Dobinson struts up front 😱. I am about 5/8” gap above the standard Dobinson lift on a TH ( 6yrs no slipping in strut) . I will just slip more strut out of the knuckle assy till It’s level. What are you using in the front to equal the 2" in the rear due to those control arms?
They sure ain't cheap though!!! I mean $700 for the XOPlate RDM Guard. That's kind of excessive when a mediocre fab guy could whip one out for about $40...That's probably what I'll do...😉😎I've got a set, but haven't had time to install them. If you're in any of the Cherokee Facebook groups, they seem to be well regarded.
No, they aren't. I could justify the Stilettos, but as much as I want the guard, I can't quite justify that yet. I'm a decent fabricator and I'm certain I could replicate them if I had the time. That's the rub though, I'm perpetually lacking enough of it!They sure ain't cheap though!!! I mean $700 for the XOPlate RDM Guard. Looks great! Front subframe drop? Who makes that?I just had a pair installed today , they look awesome !!! Here is a shot of side and rear wheel well , will upload a pic from behind later showing off the control arms. In total I had LCA's plus a dobinsons kit, front level, rear and front subframe drop... for a 3" lift

Custom install place had to fab that and drop it about 1". Since its a trail hawk and I wanted a 2" level on top of the dobinsons they had to figure it out to get the arms to match up and camber corrected. If anyone here is from Central Colorado I highly suggest SOCO Customs in Colorado Springs.Looks great! Front subframe drop? Who makes that?
I also had the rear subframe dropped by an inch so the axels are matching up like a 2” lift would.Well they sure look cool!!! That's a hell of a steep angle on the axle shafts though. That concerns me a little. They're definitely now the "weakest link" back there. Definitely keep us posted about how everything is working for you, and hopefully you'll get to test her out offroad and report back...😉😎
Right on. You did mention that didn't you. That's good, they just looked a little steep in the picture. Probably an optional illusion with the sweet new angle of the control arms. We've heard everybody talking about a "real" subframe drop for a Trailhawk, but that's the first actual build that I've heard about. The guys at your shop should patent and market their process. I'd sure be interested in seeing some more pictures under there...😉😎I also had the rear subframe dropped by an inch so the axels are matching up like a 2” lift would.
Took a better / level shot , not gonna lie when I saw that shot I was a bit concerned . But you can see here with that subframe drop its not really that jacked.Right on. Had the Stilettos and skid plate installed. The suspension settled after awhile and now rides pretty great. Before with the Hazard Sky 2” lift level it would kinda roll around corners but now with these, it’s tightened up. The fisheye lens made one picture look a bit crazy with the spring.
If it wasn’t MFC I’d probably try and get that subframe drop too but they took 3 months to ship me an “in-stock ready to ship” item this year and they kinda burned the bridge with me. Not to mention the holes and alignment for it interfere or wrong with stock stuff.
Side note: I’m redoing the roof rack and making a custom tire carrier, I’ll make a unique post about it when it’s done.
