Hello, I have a 2002 Laredo. I needed to get the starter replaced and once I turned it on it seemed like something was off with the audio. After some tests, it appears my passenger side dash speaker is not working.

it seems very odd, but it was working pre the replacement. Any validation that this could be related? do I need to replace the speaker? or is it a connection issue?

thanks a million forum friends!!

Hello and welcome to the forum. However, this is a forum for the 2014 and up regular Cherokee. So I'm not sure you'll find the answer you are looking for. Best of luck.

Doubt they are related unless the speaker wiring somehow routes to the engine compartment and could have been damaged in replacement...

First check would be to see if the speaker is connected. Pull the grill and speaker to see if wires are all intact. Then you can check output from the amp to the speaker either with a tester or plug in a different speaker. Swapping the speaker to another known-good position is also a test of that speaker.

HTH, good luck.
