Squealing Noise

Wondering if anyone else experienced this especially now that it’s getting much colder out and temperatures reaching below freezing. After driving on a 2 hour trip recently a loud squealing noise was coming from the passenger side of the engine when parked and idling, obviously some sort of belt or tensioner I assume. What’s odd is it only appears after long periods of driving. At start up after sitting it sounds perfectly normal no squeal. It’s the 3.2 v6 also.
Definitely a belt issue, and possibly the idler pulley bearings starting to fail. I would recommend checking the idler for tension or friction, and replacing it. Might as well do the belt while you're in there. It's fairly inexpensive and somewhat easy to DIY, with the most difficult part being the removal of the lower radiator hose, which also makes it a good time for some fresh coolant while you're at it...😁😉😎

Probably the belt tensioner I recall a TSB on the older Cherokees for tensioner noise at low temps. If out if warranty I would just replace the tensioner on your own. Replace the belt as well if it looks worn/cracking.
It's definitely one of the two...😉😎
