Hello JC community!
Another month, another new sound!
I have a lot of rattles and whistles I’ve ignored daily since owning my Cherokee, but this one is specifically driving me up the wall (literally) so please, if you can help or advise, you will straight up save my sanity.
Vehicle in question is a 2020 JC 4x4 Limited 6Cyl. The creaking squeaks comes from when I drive rough, bumpy roads - it specifically gets loud when going through a huge bump on the road.
I’ve tried brainstorming as to what it could be; I’ve taken out the spare tires stored in the trunk compartment, replaced it, manually pushed the back end of my car down and up (to replicate rough motion) where I think it’s coming from as much as I can.. Nothing is working. I hate to have to go under the car for diagnostics because we don’t own a jack to lift cars up.. I’m wondering if it’s the muffler? Will look into this after I post this.
