You would turn it off if you were offroading. With it not all the way off, if you were trying to make it up a snow covered hill the traction control would kick in and kill your run to the top. I've seen a couple off road videos of them testing the TH's against other vechiles like the bronco and they didnt have it all the way off and couldn't figure oit why it was dying trying to go up.Well that is interesting, I had no idea traction control is not "really" off unless you do that. I can't think of why you would want to turn it off, I'm not into doing donuts either, lol.
- I can only imagine what sport does to your gas mileage....
Yes, it can be completely disabled by holding the button for approximately 5 seconds. This is only for low speed, as it will kick back into partial mode at around 30mph. This can be done in all Selec-Terrain drive settings...😎Traction control is NEVER completely off until you locate and disable this: Dynamics Lateral Acceleration and YAW Rate; Stab Control Module
It should be mounted nearest the center of the car like under the console.
And, as far as I know (I don't have AD2 or AD-Lock), 4 Low disables it by default.Yes, it can be completely disabled by holding the button for approximately 5 seconds. Negative...4Low default is still partial. This is where "full off" becomes crucial, and where "partial" will get you into trouble with power loss during a steep climb, and slippery conditions...😎4 Low disables it by default.

We're not talking about "track car" tricks here. Try it for yourself, find a fairly steep and slick climb, ideally with a few inches of snow, and try the ascent in 4Low with the default "partial disabled", then try again with "full disabled", again by holding the button for 5 seconds. You will see the TC light flash, which means full disabled. You will immediately see the difference, I promise you...😎![]()
