Hi guys -

I did try using the search function but could not find the answer to what I am looking for.

I ordered up a set of 3.5" JBL GX302 speakers to start replacing the 6-speaker base system (driven by the UConnect 8.4NA). I just noticed that the impedence on these as well as the matching GX963 6x9's are set at 2.3 Ohms. As I understand it (and I'm not sure I do), this could cause damage to the head unit if the impedence is too low.

Has anyone installed these speakers on their 6-speaker Cherokees?

Apparently the GX302 an GX963's at 2.3Ohms are very popular.

I was wondering if you ever found anything else out on this. I have the same exact speakers to drop in the dash. I never even thought of this being a possibility. They're definitely nice little speakers.
