I test drove it that is...

It's actually really nice, not sure I'd buy it, but the 3.2 does pretty good. I do wish that it was a bit bigger. I'm 6'2" and with the panoramic sunroof, I touch the ceiling in the back seat. Also, I couldn't get the steering wheel to tilt down enough for my liking. It's soft touch materials everywhere, with a stiched dash, and the new TFT and 8.4" radios tho.

I test drove the same as that but i am not as tall as you.
So have you totally discounted the Cherokee and if so what other vehicles are you looking at ?

My original game plan was to replace my Caliber with a new Charger. When the Cherokee was released, I (eventually) liked it enough and it came across as a slightly larger, faster, nicer version of my Caliber. They both share functionality - fold flat front passenger seat, reclining rear seat, upright seats, hatchback, etc.

I originally saw a FWD North and thought it was too small. But having driven a Cherokee 4x4 now I've been more impressed with it than I expected to be. I even sat behind my dad (we are both 6'2") and I can't really do that as comfortably in my Caliber.

Short answer: I'm undecided what to do. But the Cherokee is on my list. Probably a TH though, just to get it a bit taller.
So is it a debate between the Cherokee or a Charger? lol

Yup. Don't expect me to explain it tho.

I was so close to buying a Charger, and then I found out about the Cherokee and held off. That was back in May. It has been a long wait.
I was going to buy a 2011 Charger, then found out about the new 8-speed in the 2012s, then I bought a house, then I was going to buy a 2014 Charger, then found out about the 2015 refresh, then saw the Cherokee. It's like a twisted novel lol.

How was it in the front seat? If I get one I'd want the panoramic sunroof, I'm 5'11".

It's smaller than what I wanted though. I have an Equinox now and will probably move up to a Traverse for my next vehicle. I do love the Cherokee though, may have to test drive one when the time comes.

The front seat is excellent. No head room issues for me, even with the panoramic sunroof. My height is in my legs.

My 6'2" father had no challenges in the front either. My dad's height is in his upper body.

I know, its a never ending trap.

I think it's because there were some significant changes (at least to me) and I knew I wouldn't be happy if I bought now, and then the changes happened.

I'm not happy with the equipment in my Caliber, and so I don't want to make that mistake again in the future.
