I use them. They help a bit. A more useful upgrade that I am considering would be a wireles review camera to fit to the back of the trailer.
I have extended mirrors that I would put on while towing, then I added a wireless rear camera on the trailer and have basically stopped putting the extended mirrors on now. The rear camera is definitely worth adding, not only is it so much easier to make sure you’re clear to change lanes, but it makes backing into a spot solo a lot easier as well.

I’ve been watching this post for a while now and I finally got my new camper!! 2019 Wildwood FSX weighing in around 3350#. It towed way better than I thought it would. I have a blueox 4 way sway control and WD setup for it. Gas mileage took a hit dropping from 25 to around 12. My longest trip with it so far was bringing it home when I bought it. About 80 miles on the express way. Speed limit is 70 but I stayed around 65. I kept an eye on the engine and transmission temp the whole way and it did really good. But I haven’t towed it during summer when it’s hot out so we will see.
Bit of a late reply, but I’m curious how this camper has worked out for you. We’re looking at the Wildwood FSX ourselves, but the current model appears to be listed at about 400 lbs. heavier, which is getting pretty close to the 4500 lbs. capacity of the KL when loaded. We’d be doing a lot up uphill going into the mountains, so I’m trying to figure out if it’s a good choice for us.

Ive towed my home built flat decked cargo trailer(pic coming soon)
And more recently, my sister in law's '11 Liberty Limited, thanks to a exploded lifter and collapsed valve spring. I'll tell you, i was VERY surprised, and EXTREMELY IMPRESSED at the way the FireHawk took the load.

Just brought home a 2021 No Boundaries 16.6. Heaviest thing I’ve pulled with my Jeep (2014, V6, factory trailer package) so far (about 3300 lbs. dry), and I gotta say, it continues to impress me whenever I try something new with it. Pulls like a champ!

Picked this up today.

I know it’s not in the best spot for weight distribution on the trailer, but there’s a plow attached to it as well and had to load it this way.

Not jealous at all...I would HATE to have a nice 4x4 ATV with a plow instead of breaking out the 30" snowblower for my driveway....

I have a 16' Gheenoe Classic with a Yamaha 40 hp. 4 Stroke motor and dual batteries. Total weight around 1.000lbs. but I got the factory tow package so that I can tow my heavy motorcycles or ATV if I need to.
This is an irrelevant question to this post, but are the base model steel wheels common to come by? I was interested in running some during the winter.

Here's what I'm towing, 2021 Cherokee Limited AD1. 2021 Prime Time Avenger 16BH. About 2900 pounds dry, 3500 pounds loaded up with water and supplies.

Pulls good. Even on a 93 degree day on a route with a fair amount of hills, my tranny temp never got above 190. Usually stays at around 180. I average between 12 mpg to 17 mpg depending on the route and how hilly the roads are, and whether or not the gray and black tanks are full.

Does struggle to accelerate a bit up steep inclines. Would not recommend going up and down mountains unless you are full on gas and it's a cool day.
