Just acquired a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk with tow package. About to pull my small trailer cross country and wondering what the "N" selection is for on the Selec-Terrain settings, to the right of Auto. Anything to do with towing? The owner's manual is confusing.

^ This.

If someone is going to tow the Jeep with another vehicle, the "N" selection is to put the drivetrain in Neutral so the Jeep can be towed safely.
When towing a trailer with the Jeep, "Auto" should work okay most of the time, according to what I've read here. I've towed 1,000 lbs. locally, using Auto, with no issues, but haven't done the trip with 2,000 lbs. over to the Appalachian Mountains yet... Looking forward to that in April, with the trails open up again. :)

Don't forget the tow break-in (and general break-in) recommendations. You don't seem like someone who reads the manual (where the "N" is described in detail), but you may want to do so.

You're right - I'm not a "read the manual" type of person. And I figured "N" meant towing the Jeep behind another vehicle, but wanted to be sure. Guess I'll break down and read tow break-in recommendations before heading over the Sierra Nevadas. Maybe even general recs.

And you may want to check with the dealer as a special harness may be needed if the Cherokee is going to be towed behind another vehicle or RV.

Which may not be an issue in 2019 anymore, but I haven't followed it.
Right, it is no longer an issue with 2019s, no special harness needed. The manual does specify however that battery charging (the Jeep's) should be added when flat towing it, because you can easily end up with a dead battery after a few hours.

However the OP here is not looking to tow the KL so all good. Oh and in the mountains, you may find Sport mode helpful to keep the revs up a bit. Or use AutoStick to keep teh 9-speed in a lower gear, for some engine braking. But if you are only pulling a light weight, Auto mode should be fine.

I found Sport mode useful in the Vermont mountains last summer, otherwise it was shifting non-stop.

I dropped a bottle of coke on the Selec-Terrian dials on my Jeep Cherokee 2015 Trailhawk model, and the dials fell through. Nothing broke or snapped. I have looked everywhere on the internet on how to pop it back in, but have not struck gold yet. This is my last resort before I take it to the mechanics, but hoping that the members on here can help me out here with a step by step photo instruction or a video. Much appreciated

You must have developed quite the little habit if your vial is big enough to break ****. 😎
