rust proofing

I need to know where to drill holes for rustproofing without hitting anything or spraying anything vial inside.
Why would you want to rust proof this Cherokee? :surprise:
It is factory Rust proofed! Doing it will probably void your warranty. Especially if you intend to do it your self.
I have never had a Jeep rust proofed or undercoated in that last 20 years and never had an issue, even after 9 years.
You will block drain holes which will cause premature rusting, that I can assure you.
Do not do it or be sold on it. It is not needed.

Wow, good to know, my dealer try to sell me a rust treatment!!!
Beware..... There alot of things your dealer will try to sell you.
If you are thinking of an extended warranty check out some online dealers selling Chysler Max Care. The dealer will probably match their price.
You can find them in this forum if you do a search.
That is if you are inclined.

Does it do it on all body? Or you need to pay for an option to have it rust treated at the factory in the build process?
My dealer kind of suggest me to have it done I have to pay for it!
Every Cherokee is rust treated at the plant and that is included in the cost of the vehicle.
That's why Cherokee has a long rust warranty. The dealer adds nothing to this.
Dealers are great at "suggesting" a need for something. I hate that.
They tried to sell me paint sealant or whatever because they do not use lead in paint and bird droppings and pollution will hurt the paint job. Paint is not covered under the warranty.
There are several good sealants/wax mentioned in this forum that are excellent.
I have several coats on right now and it is protected.

I remember that he mentionned undercoating which will protect more, etc.
That worth it?
Undercoating may be worth it, Maybe....................
I never used it. Never saw a point to it.
I was more concerned about blocking drain holes etc. by doing it.
They build this jeep to avoid the rust issues of years ago.
