Went looking at roof racks yesterday.
Thule (same as mopar) was held on by a strap, not to clean looking

Yakima had a nicely mated mount, it went on!

I'm always hauling something

I bought the mounts for $157 at West Marine, I had the bars and kayak load bar from my last Cherokee

and, as someone informed me in another thread, the antenna will easily unscrew out if in the way

think there was a package deal at Dick's Sports but I didn't need the whole package

Le Creaux, what do you carry in that carrier? I have always wondered that. I've used roof racks for kayaks, bicycles, but you can't fit those in that, obviously. Fishing gear?

Basically a trunk extender for when you run out of space.

Im not expecting it to be cheap, Yakima is one of the best brands!

but I guess it depends what your needs are

Roof racks are all new to me. Is is true that our vehicles come just with the longitudinal bars and the cross pieces are all aftermarket? I had to go back for the antenna so I wondered if I was missing some factory cross pieces too?

It's a Skybox 16. The logo is red on the new ones. The whole setup on mine is 5 years old. I bought it all for my 2005 Liberty and it all still fit on the 2014 Cherokee.

Emailed Yakima, and the replied there will be crossbars for the Cherokee after the new year.
