Those look fantastic! I went to their website and they have two listed "Rock Sliders" and "Super Sliders", but from the pics I found on their website I can't tell which ones you bought. I really like the look though. Can you tell me which ones? I've been looking for something just like that, that will support being stood on for reaching the roof.

Thanks.

They're called "Steprails" and I got the diamond plated covers.

Unfortunately, only the smooth covers are still available..

Love the rails. Great idea on the Line/X. I’ve been trying to find rails/boards locally but supply for a 2018 Jeep Cherokee is basically non existent. Found RRO but have read a lot of negative reviews. How was your experience with dealing with them? How was the install? Thinking of ordering rails very soon. Getting Duratracs 245 70 17 installed tomorrow. Love that look as well.

Where is local for you? Frogfab in Montreal, Quebec are doing rails and now offer a step-type rail similar to the RRO ones. Jean-Louis sent me pics and the installation instructions... 37 beers sounds about right, but if you are in Canada $750 CAD also sounds about right! So now I am saving my, well, not pennies 'cause we don't have those anymore, so...loonies?

Cheers

Dealing with RRO, my experience has been fine.

Rail install for me was 4-4.5 hours the first side (learning what I needed to do) and 2.5 hours on the second side. Instructions I feel were a bit vague in areas and not accurate/impossible in others.

What I ended up doing: Drill sizes for the door areas I found off, get a step drill bit and go slow while testing the fit of the anchors regularly (I was surprised at how thin the sheet metal was there.) Get the rails in place and hang it with the first and last door side hangers loosely. I used a small 2x4 piece and a jack to squish the rail to bottom of the vehicle (2x4 fit inside the rail just right allowing me to move the jack to each area for the tight fit.) Mark the inaccessible holes (I moved my jack a few times as I was going I think.) Take the rail off (instruction said to drill from the back with the rail on, that isn't possible.) Drill slightly lower 1/16" to 3/16" on ones with a bad marking angle. Put the rail back in place with all the top in very loose. 2x4/jack it in place near each hole you drilled and do what you need to do to get all the bolts in underneath. Tighten the bottoms then the tops bolts/anchors. Second side goes much faster. **Pilot holes underneath: get a few small stubby drill bits. Easiest way I found to drill the pinch seem which is incredibly strong.

Fuel tank-local is Edmonton ish, Alberta. Seen Frogfab rock rails but do not care for the step design. Really like the look and simplicity of the Rocky Roads. Just wish the install from what I have read in numerous posts was easier. What year / mods done to your Jeep

What could go wrong-very informative thanks. I still may go with RRO. What year -other mods you have done with your jeep.

RRO bush bar/bull bar/skid plate is awesome. But won’t work with Tech package (Sensors below and in bumper). Looking for something similar that would work. Any ideas?

2016 Cherokee Latitude (White)
V6 ADI
RRO SuperSliders
245/70r17 BFG KO2
Hazard Sky Lift
Hazard Sky wheel centering kit
Pinch seams cut
Minor liner trimming

Forgot one thing about the RRO sliders. It is 3-4 inches out further and a larger step in. They look great, but annoying to get in/out until I get more use to it.

RRO brush/bullbar should be fine with the tech package. The sensor is off to the driver side. RRO makes a special winch bumper for the tech package for people who want a winch. There are two types of RRO brush/bull bars: One you bolt to the stock aluminum bumper (mostly cosmetic) and then if you go with the full RRO winch bumper (crazy overbuilt imo.)

Yay Edmonton... Mom is from Jasper, spent summers in Alberta when I was a kid.

2018 Trailhawk, the only mods so far are a broken exhaust mount and partially unattached plastic rocker panel covers. All courtesy of a day-long Intro to Off-road that 1. Amazed me with what the vehicle could do 2. Terrified my partner with what i would do to our brand new car and 3. Made the jaws drop of all the rest of the participants, all driving Wranglers.

There was not a single by-pass taken, which I am pretty pleased about. Now I have to convince my partner that we should do it again...

Before that I plan on the Hazzard lift and some type of rock rails. I like the look of the Frogfabs and Montreal is only 6 hours away...

Cheers
