Hi everyone. I have an opportunity to buy a 2014 Trailhawk, but before I pull the trigger on it I wanted to drop by here first and ask something. I had a few issues with my Latitude from the day I bought it. It needed a transmission the first day I drove it. Once that was replaced (covered by warranty of course), 3 weeks later the "Service Park Brake" light came on, and would not disengage the parking brake for a while. Finally got it to roll out, but the light was sill on, and turned out the module was soaked. The engine starte ticking, and the shop told me the rocker bearings were shot. A couple days later I was almost home when I hit a deer and totaled the Jeep. So problem solved there...

Now the insurance paid out, and I'm currently looking at a nice 2014 Trailhawk that's got all the features I was missing out on with the Latitude. My question, is there anything you guys can think of that may be a common issue with this model that I should look for when I go to test drive it. I looked up the VIN for any recalls and it looks clear on that, but as I found out with my last one there were several issues common on these regarding the transmission, or the water intrusion on the brake module.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to buying it.

Basically the same issues as a non-trailhawk. Tranny issues. Make sure the tranny software is up to date. Also make sure it shifts smoothly . Look under it. A lot of trailhawks are having failing trannys from sucking up water. Front end noise is also somewhat common. But that’s about it for trailhawk specific models.
