I am looking into making a set of rock rails for the wife's 'hawk, and have it mostly figured out, but HOW DO THESE FACTORY PLASTIC ONES COME OFF? Metal, and fab is easy, but tiny plastic clips stump me...

They are little rectangle clips, but I don't see any sort of release... ??? I'm lost!

If any of y'all have exp with these I would appreciate the help.

AND, I don't want to damage them getting them off!

And THAT's how it's done. D:

I too will most likely get some rock rails as my first serious mod.
Knowing how to get the plastic pieces off will be a big help.

Thats how I would like to take them off, but I would probably loose half of everything I own shortly thereafter!!!

Shoot us a pic when you are able!
I'm sure I will get crap for this but I have been seeing it over and over again on the forums: :)

Loose vs Lose

Loose is an adjective, the opposite of tight or contained.

My shoes are loose

I have a loose tooth

There's a dog running loose in the street

Lose

Lose is a verb that means to suffer the loss of, to miss.

I win! You lose!

Don't lose your keys

I never lose bets

I like the pictures of the TH with the plastic ripped off. That's earning your stripes!
Thanks. I think rock rails don't necessarily need to be factory standard but anyone wheeling these hawks should get them. The ground clearance makes it a different wheeling experience and I find myself not worrying so much about break over angle as I did in the jk but now utilize the full skid plates to just slide over or teeter totter over obstacles. It was a matter of time before the side trim got ripped off to be replaced by rock rails and I'm surprised they lasted this long. Btw the skidplates work very well. They've taken a lot of hard hits with no damage.
