Hello all,
I am planing to purchase a Kee this weekend, I have narrowed it down to 2 specific ones "I think".
My father purchased a White Latitude with just the V6 option last weekend. I've driven it and really like it. He got the V6 because he plans to put an aftermarket hitch on to occasionally tow a small 5x8 landscape style trailer.

I "think" I only want the 4cyl. I'm trading in a 2011 Patriot Latitude (cold weather, unconnect/Sirius ). I find the Pat's 2.4 to be acceptable for how I drive. Yes, it's no speed demon, but I have my "zippy toy" car to drive in the summer to take care of that itch. Based on that, do you think the 4cly will keep me happy (also note, no plans to tow at all with my kee)

Secondary I'm torn between 2 kee's that are currently sitting on lots both less then 25 miles from me. Here they are, both are 4cly's:
#1- Limited in silver with only the charging pad option.
#2- Latitude in white, cold weather, comf & conv, 8.4, and remote cd.

These 2 cars come down to less then $100 difference between them and I am so torn on what one to pick. My pro-con list:
Limited Pro's: I prefer silver, has the 7" multi view, and I would assume the Limited would hold resale a tad better (I usually only keep car 3-4 years tops)
Cons's: I dislike leather seats, not fond of the 18" wheels due to increased replacement tire price vs 17", less selection in the 18" size, and sketchy reviews of the ProCon TX's that are OEM.
Latitude Pro's: I like heated cloth seats like my Pat, I prefer the 17" tires (see above), cold weather grp give me the rubber mats and wiper de-icer (which I like), C&C group gives me auto rear gate
Con's: Less resale?, it's white like my Dad's (white is my 2nd color choice), only 3.5" dash.

So many choices... So little money

It might appear that the only real difference between the two are the leather seats and size of the rims. But there's one other difference: the screen in the instrument cluster is much larger, giving you more information in the limited (not the uconnect center console). Value wise, with just a $100, the Limited is more bang for the buck.

But if you don't care about those 'features' get the Latitude. I also prefer cloth to leather and wold have ordered my Limited that way if it was an option.

If I was you, I'd build it exactly how I wanted it online, take it to the dealer and either have them find you one or have it built.

If you're not big on the leather seats, I'd definitely go with the Latitude. The smaller screen in the dash still is awesome and gives a ton of information. Definitely better than the rudimentary info we had in the Wrangler. Or order what you really want, that's what we did. It wasn't easy to find a 4cyl with the tow package.

I'm really leaning towards the latitude. It IS exactly what I would built and order except for I have no use for the CD player that the one on the lot has, but the $195 isn't worth crying about. Silver and then white is my first and second preference, so the white latitude really does fit the bill.
When I leave work tomorrow afternoon I gotta drive north about 15 miles, and then either right OR left another 10 to get to either the Limited or Latitude...
Hmmm..

The Latitude you described has the comfort and convenience package and cloth seats. You'll like it. comfort / convenience has a few goodies that really make life convenient.
You'd actually have to order a limited with a $1500 luxury group to get the power lift gate for example. That said, a limited with that lux group will be one of the best resellers... better headlights, vented seats (a beautiful thing in south florida), driver memory settings buttons...

Get what you want!
Build it and have the dealer find it for you.
Check the internet listings and if you are willing to drive you can find it if the dealer does not want to.

Just got home now, I got the Latitude that's optioned up! I'm very happy with the deal, only spent a few hundred over what I 'thought' I should pay, and I talked them into turning the Nav on :)

Love it except for 1 thing: the gas door is on the passenger side. I hate having to walk around that side to get gas... Maybe it's my mild OCD... Lol

First impressions: My 4cyl is slightly louder then my Dads V6, but mine shifts MUCH smoother... Maybe because the 4 doesn't have the torque that the 6 does. Gas mileage via dash app on the 35 mile trip home with my 4cyl:
15 miles on Pennsylvania '2-lane' side roads, 30-50mph: 19.8mpg
20 miles on interstate 65-70mph: 28.1mpg

I can't complain :)

Congrats!! Kinda knew you'd go with the Latitude based on your posts. Resale value won't be different just because it's a latitude vs limited, though cloth vs leather can make a very small difference (and that said, A LOT of people prefer cloth).

Congrats ... silver Latitude here and really like it. Haven't seen it clean too often, so that will add to the excitement.

If your dad has had his for awhile, it may just need the software update to smooth out the 1st to 3rd shifting.

Let's see some pics of the two together!

Build what you want man, like you said you don't enjoy the leather or the 18's on the limited, both of these would hinder the comfort factor your looking for...resale value might come into it a little bit, however the majority of the depreciation would have come off in 4 years time...let us know how you go!
