I have 2014 Trailhawk, purchased used. Have replaced front master switch twice with cheap switch, ordered a factor one now, and now also need to replace the back drivers side window switch!
Good thing those switches are cheap, and probably the easiest DIY repair on the whole damn car. You can replace all four for under like $80, and have it done in like15 minutes...😎I have 2014 Trailhawk, purchased used. yes, but they haven't been playing with the windows@Tigersaver , you have kids?
Well, they've gone up on price, just like everything else I guess. Master switch, in a genuine Mopar part could be had all day long for about $50 not too long ago...Don't buy these kind of things off Amazon...LOL!!!😎yes but the cheap switch I got one from amazon and one from Ebay, and both went out within a short time, so, now got the $119 OEM part on the way.
I saw a few post on youtube where the cheap switches don't last, and I went through 2 in 2 months, Not sure if some other issue could be involved, but the master switch, on both, lost the ability to up or down front windows, left or right. Back still works.
And now the rear left switch will not up the windows, will only down it. Gonna replace with OEM.
There must be some resistor or something in these switches that fails.
*Update:
Took old switch apart. It has contacts and resistors/chips on a circuit board inside the switch.
Lot of stuff that can go bad. Hopefully the OEM product last much longer.
That is lower cost than the one I got. but is not for the 2014Well, they've gone up on price, just like everything else I guess. Master switch, in a genuine Mopar part could be had all day long for about $50 not too long ago...Don't buy these kind of things off Amazon...LOL!!!😎
