So we can all get a better deal, please post what you paid and what model/options you ordered/bought.

Here's mine:
White, V6, Trailhawk 4x4, every available option EXCEPT Tow package and CD player
$38044 + tax
1.99% Finance over 60 months.

On edit - I also got a MOPAR 2" hitch receiver and installation (no wiring) included in that price. I didn't want the tow package because of the reduced mpg, but we want to be able to use the hitch mounted bike rack for Mtn bikes, Kayak, etc. I have a 3500 RAM/Cummins for towing duties.

Offer given to me for Limited 4 X 2, 4 banger, Granite colour, sunroof, Nav, upgraded audio --- OTD price 37, 084. Its about 500 above invoice but the dealer is not adding any fluff, no admin charges, no bs fees -- price was the negotiated 31K plus freight and taxes.

See my order below, I got it for $35,565 all in less taxes, which the dealer indicated was about $900 below invoice. I had used Car Cost Canada, and the dealer I got it from was the one that contacted me after completing the build on Car Cost.

As nice as it is to go to a small dealership where you know the owner, the bigger dealerships that sell more units are able to get more incentives and so are more willing to sell to you closer to or below invoice.

Great price mate!!! Congrats :)
Hey all, I've noticed a bunch of people posting emails they have received about their orders going into production and stuff. Just wondering about these emails, like how soon after you ordered did you receive such emails, and who sent these emails, your dealer or Jeep/Chrysler?

Not less your dealer is a good communicator, we don't get the email updates from HQ like out friends int he south do! Big bummer....
I got my Cherokee Sport, 2.4L, 4WD for 27K. After tax and everything, 31K. Vancouver, BC.
I just bought a white 4 cyl Trailhawk with the cold weather group, the leather, the camera, the navigation and the hood sticker for $35 303 - $1 200= $34 103 + taxes...

I don't see the Cold weather option on the build and price. Is that something that is only offered at the dealer? What does it include?
Has anyone used companies like unhuggle.com or carcostcanada.com? I am about to order a TH and found their reviews on some news website. Apparently they provide the dealers' cost of the car, non published dealer incentives, finance incentives....
Seems good information to have in advance of negotiation. Any feedback on their service?

Did used it CarCostCanada the last two time I bought... The first time it did not really help, but at least I knew what I was getting into... the second time, with my honda CRV, it did help. I caught them on an incentive when you do not take Honda finance.... They were removing 2000$ when Honda was giving 3500$ :dodgy:
Is anyone finding that there is still room for negotiation seeing that most of these are orders? I am going in this week to take one out for a test drive and may end up wanting to order one the same day.

Seeing that it will most likely be an order since they only have 2 in stock, and neither offers what I want, I will have some time to sell my Honda Pilot privately. Or maybe most of the negotiation could be on the trade in, instead of the purchase price of the Cherokee.
I have to say my dealer was not too willing to negotiate at all. I did have the Chrysler Affiliate pricing and they just added admin fee and the BS Nitrogen/tire hazard/etching rip off fee and it was done. I doubt they would have over valued my trade and seeing how i have two months to wait I will hit them up in about 6 weeks for a value on my current vehicle. If it is within spitting distance of the number I want I will just use as down payment. If not will do cash and sell the vehicle on my own.

On a side note with our Canadian dollar tanking against the US the last couple of months I am glad I got my price and order locked in, I am just fearful that we may see an increase in MSRP for Canucks if our dollar keeps dropping. A point here or there is no big deal, but 10% in two months must have them thinking.

Surprisingly for us Canadians the cold weather pack is an option!

It includes heated seats, wheel and a couple of other goodies.

I would think most dealer stock would tick this option, its just silly to have this as an option especially on the Limited and TH trims

to all my Canadians, I recently purchased a report from one of the websites mentioned in the trail and I still have some search available so everyone's benefit I priced a Limited with most of he options included so you have an idea of costs.

base retail: 32,195 wholesale: 30,262
3.2L retail: 1,300 wholesale: 1,157
paint red retail: 225 wholesale: 200
tech group retail: 1795 wholesale: 1,598
sunroof retail: 1495 wholesale: 1,331
radio retail: 525 wholesale: 467

there are a few other minor things and the total is retail: 40,055 wholesale: 37,680

so the dealer's margin (according to this report) is $2,375 (or 5.9%). There may be another $500 to reduce if you get the manufacturer lease.

when I priced my TH, I found a similar margin.

I have to say this was an eye opener for me because I always thought that dealers were making a lot more profit, even if in reality they will have a profit on your old car trade in and the lease/finance.

The site recommend to allow for a reasonable profit for the dealer, ~4% on overage.

The report has some more information about finance rates... and I found it useful. Hope this helps

I'm looking to buy the limited edition 4x4 V6 with trailer tow group, sunroof + Uconnect with NAV. When i build it on internet the retail price including all options is 38 030$(before taxes). According to CarCostCanada the wholesale price with all options is 35 878$.

I went to dealer to test drive and seller told me price with all options comes to 38 526.99$ which is almost 500$ difference with price on internet. Seller told me that there's some fees that are not present when we build car on internet. Any truth to that or there just trying to get more on their margin?

Anyway, i did not negotiate right away because i wanted to think this through but now I'm ready. Wanted to ask my fellow Canadian friends what would be a good fair price? Did anyone on forum bought a limited 4x4 v6 edition and wants to share their final price?

Thanks for your help
Yea. They charge you a nito tire fee and a security inscription fee. Plus a tire levy fee. And administration's fees. However, there Was a news article about this and the government said the only required fee is the tire levy. I had all other fees waved.

Hi, if you can I suggest to shop around. Dealers hate it because many of them are not transparent but if you live in an area a with a few around it's worth it.
I got the car cost report and went to 3:
1) the first one refused outright to give me any number at all unless I was prepared NOT to compare prices between dealers. Needless to say I walked out and will never go back

2) the 2nd kept the price close to the retail price but gave me a fairly high value for my trade in.

3) the 3rd one only added $500 to the cost indicated by carcost but reduced the trade in value

I have done some research and here are my lessons learned:

- the total is what matter, and you need to compare the cost (at the same time) between new, trade in and financing. You need these 3 numbers from all dealers compare like for like, because some add documentation fees, some don't...

- the price from the car cost report should include all taxes. all dealers tried to re-add back the taxes at the end but when I pointed out that they are already in the reported prices, they dropped the argument. in BC the only thing that I accepted extra was $25, I forgot for what but they all said the same and wasn't bothered for $25

-I leased the car, so I made sure I got also the $500 rebate mentioned in the report (none of the dealers mentioned this until I pointed it out)

For comparison here are my relative numbers:
-new car, got it at the cost indicated by car report because they added $500 profit but then I get -$500 rebate because I am leasing
-trade in, I got -$2,500 from the highest estimate indicated by the black book
-the lease I got @ 4.99% over 2 years, there is an fee around 650 which includes the first payment

In practice the dealer is not making money on the new car (assuming the car cost value is correct) but is making a profit on the trade in. Only the total matters so it's fine for me.

It would help if other can give their numbers as comparison

Thanks NewHawk for details! I really appreciate it
Hey all, I've noticed a bunch of people posting emails they have received about their orders going into production and stuff. Just wondering about these emails, like how soon after you ordered did you receive such emails, and who sent these emails, your dealer or Jeep/Chrysler?
 I don't feel like I was beaten up to bad now after reviewing what other people paid, invoice price to a dealer is how much he needs out of a vehicle to pay for every thing from soup to nuts in that year, so dealer cost very. Also some dealers get better pricing from the manufacture on the amount of sales they do on an annual bases equating in more room to move. Another important fact is how hot the model their selling is, which equates to how much the dealer is willing to move because the manufacturer is demanding a high price. :| As far as your original question about having received email from the dealer. I got emails last week receiving my Vin & Von numbers but they are not working as yet on Jeep VOTS. I called Chrysler and they told me to keep checking their VOTS system and there will be posting soon on your vehicle in scheduling production. Can't wait to see an actual picture of a MT TH.

Newhawk when you say cost $500 more than cost indicated by carcost are you talking about the retail price or the wholseale price indicated on carcost report?
Thanks
