So we can all get a better deal, please post what you paid and what model/options you ordered/bought.

Here's mine:
White, V6, Trailhawk 4x4, every available option EXCEPT Tow package and CD player
$38044 + tax
1.99% Finance over 60 months.

On edit - I also got a MOPAR 2" hitch receiver and installation (no wiring) included in that price. I didn't want the tow package because of the reduced mpg, but we want to be able to use the hitch mounted bike rack for Mtn bikes, Kayak, etc. I have a 3500 RAM/Cummins for towing duties.

North 4X2 I4 Deep Cherry with tow package, convenience package and cold weather package. $31,000 plus tax, same as the online build.
We didn't negotiate the price on the Cherokee, but we negotiated the trade-in value of our 2011 JKU. Ended up getting $4000 more than the dealer we originally bought the Wrangler from.
Financed the difference at 0% for 3 years.

I am impressed with that. I had negotiated (maybe poorly) a TH, 3.2 with all options but the tech package (had tow and command view roof) for $38500. I was going to reattack on a couple of the BS things I had missed ($250 for nitro!!), but decided to factory order instead.

Price for the factory order isn't yet finalized, so I think this thread will help.

Don't mean to sound like I am challenging you here, because I'm not. I am curious though as to how you know that price is "cost"? Many dealers throw that word around frequently, but somehow I doubt their honesty.

Hey, no problems :)

My company is a part of the Chrysler affiliate program which means I get any purchase at invoice price, so no negation needed from me, for a loaded TH - a CD player that's the cost price of the car!

I hate to burst your bubble but I used my mother's Chrysler retired surviving spouse discount and my dealership's owner is a friend of my brother's so I got to look at all of the paperwork on my order. Invoice is not cost by any means. There is still "holdback" and other secret things. My deal with the dealership's owner was $1,000 below invoice plus he was to throw in touch up paint, paint and upholstery sealer, 4 oil changes/tire rotations, and a full tank of gas at delivery. The dealership still made money on my deal, but not much. BTW, as far as I know, Chrysler is the only auto company who allows their dealers to sell below invoice.

No bubble burst, but employee pricing is completely different, along with the US Vs Canada, I didn't negotiate further into the holdback, even though I did mention it, either way, I'm happy with the price that's all that matters,

Invoice is Cost, I reviewed the dealers invoices as I didn't believe them, holdback essentially keeps the lights on in the dealership, I was happy with cost price,

Got mine for $35,580 plus taxes.
And even though I work at the dealership, they were kind enough to still throw in a delivery detail and a full tank of gas! lol

I think many people think "invoice" = cost, but I don't think that is the case, though many dealers would like you to think so. In any case, knowing what others paid will help somone else negotiate a better deal.

What ever the dealer pays on his invoice from Chrysler is the "cost price" of the car to the dealer (which he pays jeep for), then the dealer tags his margin on to MSRP

Anvil Trailhawk with V6, leather, cold weather group, comfort/convenience group, technology group, single disk CD, NAV, sunroof. (i.e. - loaded except tow package and 9 speaker stereo upgrade)

MSRP $40,770.........paid $39,770, but also got an extra $2000 on my trade (2007 JGC Overland with 200,000 km's) compared to another Jeep dealer, so all in all I'm happy with it.

It literally came off the delivery truck when I took it for an extended test drive (5 hours) and then bought it that night. Kind of nice to buy "off the lot" so to speak and not have anyone else (test drive customer that is) ever drive it.

It was the second (based on dealer level tracking) Trailhawk sold in Calgary, and first from the dealership I bought from. Actually even the first Cherokee of any trim level with my insurance company as their system didn't even list it yet when I phoned it in.

Thanks for the input Canadian people, that can help us future negociators :) I'm in Montreal and after a test drive of a TH V6 I was just curious to sit and estimate a custom TH with the dealer. He gave me a 41.000$ tax and all fees included (yea right) for a V6 with cold weather group and Uconnect with Nav and winter tires ... I did not negociate as I was not there to buy... Now looking at your deals in this post I see how nonsense my dealer's price was. :)

As a note - because of my employment, I too got "Invoice pricing". Really - I think it's a bunch of bunk anyway. No matter what "they" call it, concentrate on the OTD price.

Trade ins muddy the pricing waters significantly as they can really charge you/give you anything they want when you trade in another vehicle.

I know that is what they tell you, but I don't "buy" it <-- Get it? :)

I wouldn't be so sure you got your vehicle for what it "costs" the dealer plus some minor margin. It took about 90 seconds for the junior salesperson I dealt with at dealer #2 to break out the "My boss would kill me if he knew I showed you this...." line and show me the invoice price. Then the salses manager looks up my employer on the "list" and tells me my employment qualifies me (Gov't job) for the discount. It's all just a game to sell vehicles.

In the end, just concentrate on what they want YOU to pay compared to what others are paying for a similar vehicle.
